Rated #6 for all Kanchanaburi hotels
The location was a little bit far from town to walk too but this was not a big issue as a taxi was only a couple of dollars. I would still use this hotel as it was not badly priced....

not a bad hotel to stay, the view of the riverside is nice & calm. but it would be good if they can maintain the swimming pool, I did not use it but you can see it needs to be impoved.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful, but slightly run down like so many Thai hotels are and could do with a lick of paint. The grounds, swimming pool and position by the river you cannot fault. To walk thr'o the lovely gardens and come to the brown waters of the river Kwai early in the morning is like heaven on earth. But would I stay there again- the answer has to be no, for one reason alone. You are a bit out in the sticks and I am afraid you are held to ransom by the extortionate price that you have to pay to get into town-and I am sure that the front desk are in on the scam. The restaurant collapsed in chaos when another tour bus stayed the night- no meals for vegetarians would you believe. But when it came to leaving, we still left with a heavy heart. For all it's shortcomings it is still a good place to stay and that 20 yard walk down to the river in the early morning mist is worth millions.
