I am a retired captain in Scandinavian Airline System ( SAS ) and have stayed at a number of hotels throughout the world. Hyatt Regency in Hua Hin is definately the best and most charming hotel I have experienced! We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely hotel and hope to come back soon!The reason for my "good" in Q2 is the lack of handshower which is a ladys "must", according to my wife. The rooms were good sized. Tall slide at the pool was very good, kept the kids occupied. Service overall was very good. Food was rather disappointing, not in variety but rather, lacking in taste. And yes, the hotel should at least provide free shuttle service into town.

19 baht (0.45 euro) per minute is the price to connect the Internet from the room: I think no comment is required. We kindly asked to keep the frozen food of our baby in one of their freezer (the room has not a freezer!) and they put it in a normal refrigerator so that we had to throw away everything after 2 days. Is this a 5 star hotel service? Are you sure? Rooms clean and pretty but nothing fancy.
Something really great (the pool and garden area) but something really poor (sport activities). Service poor, unable to understand very easy requests. No baby cot provided, our baby arranged in a sofa
Near the city but not in the caos. Hotel cleanliness good, as demanded from a 5 star hotel. Shuttle facility to the town. just a kid club with a couple of bored babysitters.

Bad experience due to service provided by hotel. Laundry led to 4 pieces of expensive clothes being ruined. management were notified and did nothing but try and restretch one item of clothing back to its original size. On leaving they waived the bill for additional items taken during the stay. Top mangement did well at the end but maybe not enought to welcome a return stay.

A lovely hotel with delightful gardens and pools, and excellent access straight on to the beach. Charming and helpful staff who were very responsive. A little out of town for browsing the shops, markets and local restaurants, but we had a car so no problem. Not cheap but very nice!
