Mathan from Australia recently stayed in a Deluxe cottage for 3 days.
Good hotel with interesting bamboo built rooms. Maintenance problems with WiFi and electricity darkened our stay. Transportation would also be a bit difficult and dear because the remote location. Service is excellent. Good touring options of the area.

Horst from Germany stayed in a Superior for 2 days.
Very exceptional the rooms with the interior and the large verandah. But i think we were lucky of staying there in off season as it might get very loud if you have got some neighbors
next door even if they are talking/ behaving on a usual level given the settings and the conecting doors. What is really not acceptable is the fact that you don't have any fridge or minibar in your room given the otherwise high standards and prices.
Very special location and nice service, but food and choice of menus only average.

Reviwing this resort is not a simple matter : ) .
On one hand, the resort is no less than breath taking in it's beauty.
The architecture, the decor, the view, the furniture, the swimming pool - all are un-paralel in their beauty.
On the other hand, very few of the staff speak English and even less speak good English. The location is so isolated you have no choice but to eat at the restaurant located at the resort - and it's really not even close to being good enough, especially with what they are charging for it and with it being your sole provider of food - unless yoo take the 40 mins drive to Chiang Rai. The waitors don't speak enough English to explain dishes or answer questions. We were 4 ppl and 1 of us was vegeterain - they had very liitle if any dishes to offer her.

Thais celebrate Buddha’s birthday. Local Wats (Buddhist Temples) celebrate by holding candlelit processions. A tourist may take part in these parades and it can prove great fun.

Sees Thai Buddhists celebrating Buddhist lent, the full moon festival. One can view Buddhist temples throughout the year, but this tradition can be picturesque due to the activity of the saffron robed followers.
