what a lovely place! while they may over-tout themselves as a super luxury resort, the accomodations were lovely, the staff was very friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. we'd definitely go back.

We had a very good stay at the Legend. Big to very big room, good pool,lovely grounds and good staff. To say it was a little bit out of town is unfair because CR is not such a big town and we had a hire car. But it is certainly not walking distance to the night market or down town or tourist sights and not on a main road where you can easily catch a cab. But even if you did not have a hire car I don't think it would be too big a problem to get transport. As with everything, it really depends on what you pay, but this a good 4 hotel that should not disappoint.

Thais celebrate Buddha’s birthday. Local Wats (Buddhist Temples) celebrate by holding candlelit processions. A tourist may take part in these parades and it can prove great fun.
