Although the location is quite far from the night market bazarre and it added cost to keep catching a tuktuk into town. So, the negative side would be the location. Other that that it is a good hotel to stay.
Please be patient…

Seminar and tour groups are extremely noisy and annoying as they crowded so many guests in one room. Front reception and fitness male staves should put on more smiling faces instead of grimly looked.Hotel Facilities

Extremly great value for money, staff made you fell very welcome also well appointed hotel to all markets and all general resturants, all forms of transport at you're front door. I had 18 days at the Holiday Inn, time went to fast, this hotel will certainly top of list for next visit to Chiang Mai.Hotel Facilities

The hotel provided a great place to stay. We are a family of 4 and the room was huge with enough room for us all. Breakfast was great with a huge choice of food. The service provided by all hotel staff was very friendly and efficient. I would recommend this hotel to future travellers.Hotel Facilities

Staff did not have good knowledge of other languages other than Thai. Thus communcation was difficult and service level was not to required standard expected at Holiday Inn hotels. There were also insects in the room which did not make stay in room very comfortableHotel Facilities

I stayed at Holiday Inn last year and this year and the stay was nothing short of just fabulous. The corner room was large and had all the trappings of a 5-star hotel. The morning breakfast by the river was also something to look forward to. I would stay here again without question.Hotel Facilities

The room is spacious and the view is great (river view). The service is satisfactory. However, the facilities are bit old. We hear huge noise whenever any other room flashed the toilet and if we happened to be in shower when someone else flashed toilet, our wafer temperature would turn very hot.
Overall it is still good value for money.Hotel Facilities

Stanley from United States stayed in a Superior river view for 6 days.
The hotel is located outside the main restaurant area but only about 5 minutes away but tuk tuk for 80 Baht. The hotel is very clean and the food is very good. It has a great breakfast buffet. The exercise room is quite good and the swimming pool is good. There is nothing around the hotel except a 7-11. So we always take tuk tuks to the many temples and to the night market and the many restaurans located there. We visited the other hotels (5 star and Boutique) right in the main tourist area but we prefer the Holiday Inn. It is a great value and the service and total experience was great. Using the Concerige for taxis or cars is good. a bit more expensive but more reliable and safer. We had a great stay and a great time.Hotel Facilities

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Chiang Mai from March 11-15, 2008. It was an awesome deal. I booked it online for $44 US/Night, which included breakfast. The hotel is a 10 minute tuk tuk taxi ride from downtown. They charge anywhere from 60-100 bht and the tuk tuk's wait in a queue next to the hotel. Our room was very large, clean and we had a view of the pool and river. There was a safe and a hair dryer in the room so that was handy. I hear the hotel used to be the Sheraton so the decor is not spanking new but its fine. They did have a Flat 32 inch samsung LCD TV in the room which was cool. The pool was fine, lots of chairs to lay on, gym had some nautilus type treadmills, dumbells and a small workout weight machine. The buffet breakfast was really good. They had an omelete station, poached eggs, fried eggs, hashbrowns, sausages, a small korean and japanese selection as well as a some noodle and chicken stir fry choices. They also had a large bread selection, which included; crossiants, muffins, cakes etc.. There was a cheese, cracker, bologne type meat, fruit, cereal, yogurt, milk and juice selection. They even had several fresh juices blended which included watermelon, cantalope, and tomato, although it depended on the morning. They also brought coffee or tea to your table. The breakfast is from 6:30-10:30am so it was nice just relaxing and reading the paper before heading out on the tours. Night life was cool. Saw a few thai rock bands. The Riverside bar had a great band! AllHotel Facilities

Is a nice Hotel but the staff is not motivated. To wait 5 or more minutes for coffee/tea while breakfast and the staff is dreaming or chatting is not the right kind of service for 5 star hotel. Even the room cleaning is happend sometimes very late, means after 3pm. All in all the service quality is not stabile, sometimes excellent - sometimes less then average.Hotel Facilities

average for item 6 needs further explanation. Location is certainly safe and secure - no problem there, but not close to shops and entertainment which require a taxi or "tuk tuk" trip each time. Taxis/tuk tuk however are not expensive (very cheap), just inconvenient. Would stay there again.Hotel Facilities

It was rather strange that the pool was being cleaned on the only day that was sunny that week and it took all day. I think it would've made more sense to do it at night. Location is a bit out of the way from the center of town.Hotel Facilities

Check in and check out procedures was efficient and quick. We stayed 12 nights in 3 rooms and had a wonderful time. The food is good, especially lunch. The rooms/bath rooms are spacious and clean. Location is convenient too .. about 10 minutes from the night bazaar. Staff is friendly ..wireless internet is available in certain areas. Pricing for the internet is good since it is based on connect time and not on start/finish date. The reviews I read before checking in were somewhat conservative but after staying there for an extended period, I highly recommend it. The value for money spent is excellent.Hotel Facilities

Thomas from United States stayed in a Superior for 1 day.
During my stay at this hotel; one of the front desk staff had taken my credit card into the back offices for an imprint upon check-in (the only time I had used my card on that trip); a few days later I found fraudulent charges on my card originating in Chiang Mai -- upon investigation with the bank, someone had taken a physical imprint of my card on a paper charge slip and signed a forged signature not even closely resembling my own!
I am convinced it was an inside job involving the front office staff; this has completely shattered my image of Sheraton as a company and is indicative of their lack of control over staff -- I will never stay in another one of their hotels.Hotel Facilities
