Regula elisabeth from Switzerland stayed in a Superior for 7 days.
It was a pleasure to stay at this hotel because of the very friendly service, the cozy+clean nicely and fresh renovated rooms and the daily fantastic breakfast-buffet(my compliments to the chef!). I will definitely come back and enjoy my stay again.
Please be patient…

I liked most of the facilities & staff, but I noticed a musty smell of the carpet as soon as I entered the room. The management should address this problem. Only the carpet at the entrance outside the bathroom was affected. Perhaps the ventilation was not good and dampness set in...Needs proper ventilation & disinfection to get rid of the annoying smell...Hotel Facilities

The room is big. The bed is huge. Nothing much around the hotel. But you can take a tuk tuk at 50Bht to anywhere in the city about 10-15 minutes.Hotel Facilities

Laurie from Canada stayed in a Deluxe for 2 days.
Hotel facilities and services were excellent, great value for money. Breakfasts were very good, pool was great, and staff were very helpful. Location was a bit out-of the way, about a 15 minute tuk-tuk ride or 45 minute walk from the main market and entertainment area. However, taxis and tuk-tuks are cheap, and we would definitely stay here again.Hotel Facilities

Carmen from Canada stayed in a Superior for 12 days.
The room was extremely large and clean with a comfortable king size bed. The third floor outdoor swimming pool facility was excellent not only for sunbathing but also a relaxing Thai massage. While I enjoyed the delicious buffet breakfast, I had difficulty understanding why this was proceeded by a buffet lunch offered daily rather than a buffet dinner which I believe would have been more appreciated by hotel guests who would not be hungry at noon hour. I also noticed that the outdoor patio was seldom used throughout the day even though the weather was condusive for this. I found the hotel staff to be very friendly and helpful in providing assistance with activities.Hotel Facilities

This hotel is ready for a makeover and the breakfast can do with fixing (both from a service level and the quality of the meals -- and especially the coffee!). The carpets leading to the pool should have been replaced years ago.Hotel Facilities

From my observation foreigners are treated better than the local or asian. Are the forgeigners paying higher rate than the local or asian? The receptionist on duty need to be trained to be more courteous especially the female staff. They will let you stand there until they have finish doing their things.Hotel Facilities

Wei from Malaysia stayed in a Superior for 4 days.
Overall, I personally found Novotel to be a cosy and a pleasant place to stay. The staff were exceptionally very friendly eg in terms of transportation (van) to and fro to the Night Market. However, having said that, if the van transportation can be provided ie even before 6.30pm, it would even be much better. There are two areas that can be upgraded ie the SPEED of the lift and to add in a BABY pool - that should be great! Overall, my family and I were very pleased and happy during our stay there.Hotel Facilities

On the whole it was a good stay and value for money. Breakfast average, should have more choice, maybe off peak choices are limited. My next trip to Chiang Mai will definately stay in Novotel and will recommend to friends. Should provide coffee/tea making facility in room.Hotel Facilities

Roberta from Australia stayed in a Superior for 5 days.
The hotel and facilities were excellent and the staff were very helpful. The courtesy bus at night was good. However being there during the water festival with public holidays etc. we found that there were not many places you could walk to, it was a bit far from the hub of the city and you needed transport for everything. More publicity about what to do on public holidays would be helpful.Hotel Facilities

Peter from South Africa stayed in a Superior for 5 days.
A good choice for a mid-range hotel in Chiang Mai. The Novotel is not close to the Night Market, but there is a free shuttle bus. It has a shopping centre next door, so you can stock up on essentials there. Good breakfast, very nice lobby and restaurant. Some rooms have been renovated - the others are looking a little tatty. Overall, I would recommend the Novotel as a good choice.Hotel Facilities

The hotel's physical facilities are generally of good standards but the location is not so good being away from the city centre. My stay was too brief to comment on the quality of services. For a similar trip next time, I woudl prefer another hotel closer to the city centre.Hotel Facilities

Malcolm from Australia stayed in a Superior for 6 days.
We came to Chiang Mai to experience Northern Thailand, we were able to move around and do all the things we wanted to do. Hotel staff were great and the relaxation was great. Tour desk was very professional and provided good value for money. The shuttle service to the night markets was great, and made it easy to get around. Air Conditioning was a bit cold and could not be adjusted, and would have liked to be able to make a cup of tea in my room.Hotel Facilities

Edwin from Netherlands stayed in a Superior for 4 days.
in general a very pleasant stay and definetly worthwhile going back again; the location was a bit off centre, if one has to find a weak spot, but all the rest made up for this; in any case, tuk tuks were usually available to transport you anywhere you wanted in no time. Especially the new years eve ball was great!Hotel Facilities
