We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the staff for making our stay in Cian Mai such an enjoyable experience, on our arrival we were immediately given information on travelling tours that were very affordable by your porter and we used this method of transport while in Chaing Mai to see all the places we would not have seen had we tried to do the trips by ourselves as we would not have known these places existed. The Reception and Dining area of the hotel plus the outside of the hotel is very impressive and beautiful and all the staff were of the highest in terms of ...

The room was ok, the bathroom was a dirty when we got there (hair in the bath tub/shower). The location was poor, it was at the other end of the city, no shopping or places to eat near by, had to get a tuk tuk everytime we wanted to eat or go out.The breakfast that was included was rubbish, we ate it the first day and never again.Service was good, the staff were friendly and helpful when we asked them about places to go or how to get somewhere. The pool was nice. I'll be staying somewhere closed to the night bazaar when I come back.

Stayed in this hotel before when it was known as Felix City Hotel. Lobby and coffee house newly renovated, rooms how ever remains much the same, but clean and well mantained. Last visit stayed for 4 nights, this visit stayed 5 nights. Next time to Changmai for sure it will be this hotel again.

The price we paid is unbelievable and excellent value for money. Keep up the great work. Lorraine and Gerald.

BP Chiang Mai is a great place to stay! Although only one night with my wife here, great impression given to us. A quiet and neat choice and as an famous hotel in Chiang Mai, divers all know where it is.

basically price is reasonable but not that particularly cheaper for the room, as i compare to other hotels in chiangmai. location a bit far from hot spots e.g. night bazaar and sunday market if by foot, location also not convinient as compare to near riverside area, and a bit quiet. All these are still ok as using "tootoo" is cheap and easy. The worst is the service at reception when we want to extend our stay, one of the staff ( i forgot the name ) was so rude, made us feel as if we are begging to stay there and refuse to extend the same rate as what we pay thru internet. we moved out the next day and found a better place near to the riverside at a cheaper rate.

On the whole after our previous experience in Thailand hotels although cheaper this was not good value for money. The room, although a reasonable size was very dark, dingy & dirty with some suspicious stains on the carpet & after seeing the bathroom I felt the need to go & buy some bleach & rip the shower curtain down as I did not wish it to touch me ! I actually felt very depressed going back to the room. We were unable to use the pool as it was closed due to considerable noisy construction work still going on but even if we had it was too small & not really orientated for sunbathing. The breakfasts were not paticularly good & seemed to cater more toward Thai or Chinese tastes perhaps that was the majority of the clientele? However I have to say that the staff were all very friendly & helpful, one lady in particular perhaps the manageress who translated instructions into Thai for all our evening tuk tuk drivers? To this gracious professional lady we are eternally grateful xx

Big bed, color tv, working refrigerator. A/C ran well. Room was clean. Staff was very polite and friendly. Nice, safe area. Little far from night market and such but made for a nice walk. Booked tour to see elephant camp. Good price and tour. Everything went as planned. Very enjoyable.

We stayed at the BP Chiang Mai City Hotel for nearly one week. We had only planned to stay I think 4 days but enjoyed Chiang Mai so much we decided to stay longer and were happy to stay in this hotel. The security facilities were excellent and you felt safe leaving your stuff there. The food was excellent and the staff were friendly and the information desk gave us a great insight of all the things to do in Chiang Mai. We did an elephant trip for a day and everything was included in the price which was excellent as most times there are hidden costs you only find out about after. Unfortunately at the time we stayed there there was no swimming pool, they were in the middle of doing it up. All in all we enjoyed our stay at this hotel and I would recommend it to anyone.

Within the Old Town, one gets to observe local life in Chiang Mai, and a number of great northern Thai restaurants, such as Huen Phen, and Buddhist temples are within walking distance. It is away from the madding crowd at Night Market hotel areas, pretty cosy. Value for money, and nearer to the airport. Quieter at night. Friendly and attentive staff, with their earnest Thai smiles.

Songkran
13 Apr 10 - 15 Apr 10

The most frenetic festival in the country is that of Songkran, the Lunar New Year and all-around national water fight. Held from the 13th to 15th April each year…it’s a wet one! Traditionally it was celebrated by Buddha images being bathed with water and the showing of respect to monks and elders. From the sprinkling of water onto someone’s hands it has evolved into mass drenching for anyone who decides to venture outdoors. This has to be one of the friendliest, though wet, festivals anywhere and a great way to make new friends. In places like Chiang Mai, Sukhothai and Bangkok’s Khao San Road, Songkran lasts up to 9 days!t
