Cha Am is a lovely beach resort town that boast having the longest stretch of white sand beach in Thailand. Situated in the district in Phetchaburi approximately 163 km from Bangkok and neighbouring the more popular Hua Hin Beach, Cham Am offers visitors beauty, peace and tranquillity. This charming town also has quite a good selection of hotels and beach resorts. Here you can find upmarket-luxury accommodation as well as smaller lodgings for the traveller on a budget. Regardless of the accommodation, you are sure to receive the warmth and friendliness that is synonymous with Thailand.

Cha Am has remained quiet and unpopular with partying beachgoers, but it is this distinct absence of tourism and all its frills and action that makes Cha Am so charming. You won’t find rows of bars or a night market, but Cha Am does sport a nice clean beach, clear waters and enough amenities to have a great holiday.
There are plenty of outdoor activities in and around Cha Am to keep you and the kids thoroughly entertained. You may need to venture a bit outside of Cha Am to expand your experience, as there’s only one beach in town. Golf is king around here, and plenty of nature parks provide the chance for a taste of tropical Thai flora and fauna in a safe environment.
Cha Am is the kind of seaside destination people visit to get away from all the partying and hubbub found on more popular beaches like Pattaya and Phuket. It’s a quiet town with few attractions aside from some wonderfully uncrowded sites and natural parks nearby to escape from the world, but this is precisely Cha Am’s charm. Fortunately, plenty of spectacular highlights aren’t far from Cha Am, particularly in Petchaburi.

The nearest airport to Cha Am is in Hua Hin, which has its own small domestic airport servicing daily flights from Thai budget carrier, Nok Air. Although flight schedules change often to tiny destinations like Hua Hin, Nok Air normally operates three flights daily on a 12-seat Cessna caravan 208. The flight takes less than an hour to go from Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport to Hua Hin.
