We had a lovely stay after having been upgraded to a higher floor. The lower parts of the hotel are very noisy because of the restaurants and bars in the area and rather worn down, being a 5-star hotel. Rooms on higher level are in excellent condition, especially on the Starwood floor. Breakfast was one of the best we have ever had at a hotel and we travel twice or three times a year. Staff was most co-operative. Bus stop close by. Takes you up to the city centre quite fast. Nice night market across the river, just get on the barge. I would definitly return to Royal Orchid!...

This Sheraton, located next to the river is very quite and away from the bustle and hustles of main tourist areas. The buffet breakfast is outstanding with choices of Asian and Western selections.

Stayed in a Deluxe Riverview Room which had fantastic views of the river. Some aspects of the room were a little tired and needed refurbishing ie walls and carpet. Extremely comfortable bed and loved the choice of pillows. Garden pool was large and very relaxing. Staff extremely friendly and always on hand to assist. Room contained everything we needed but walls and some areas of the carpet were a little worn. Cleanliness of the room was very good and room attendants very obliging and attentive. Only used the pool areas and they were very good. All staff were very friendly, bell boys carried our shopping to our room when we arrived back in a taxi. Bell Captain very helpful and obliging. Only ate breakfast at the hotel. As there were 2 large conferences being held at the hotel during our stay, breakfast was sometimes, extremely busy but food was replenished often and staff attentive. Found it very peaceful to return to after a days touring, walking or shopping. Loved watching the hustle and bustle of on the river.

A wonderful stay at this typical five star hotel - all the usual amenities and service you expect from a Sheraton. Great spot close to the river (a complimentary ferry shuttle to the nearest Skytrain station) and all rooms have river views.

The vicinity to the Riverside antique center and easy bridge way is important for me. There is also an excellent restaurant nearby, and the river is always a pleasure to view anytime of day or night.

I found the room dirty with dirty windows, dirty curtains, dirty chairs, a fire escape with closed doors and a view of nothing but and old warehouse and the six escapes of the air cond, of the hotel. It is only that I have been so busy on my return to the U.K. that I have not been as yet in touch with the management of the hotel - my wife was so upset that I had to spend the three nights we stayed there in a state of extreme shock - I, we, expect better from a five star hotel than that - I have photographic evidence. But that is enough ... I will contact the manager myself in a few days.

This is our second stay at this hotel in the last 2 years and have always found it reasonable value for money. The dining room and bar can be a bit expensive if used often but for occasional use it is acceptable. We found the concierge very helpful and went out of their way to assist wherever possible. We would not hesitate to use the hotel again if the rates are right.

Hotel is nicely located at the water front although there is no own jetty in use as was stated in the hotel description. For the rest it has all you may expect from 5 star in this category.

The hotel telephone is extremely expensive. I used the telephone for international call for about 19 minutes, they charge me 3700 Baht (40.30 Baht=1 USD). This is too much expensive.
