Very nice and large room, some 55 sqm, own kitchenette. good location, 5-10 min walk to skytrain. Pleanty of restaurants and bars very close. Nice nostalgic feeling, beautiful restaurant, partly open air, only setback is terrible breackfeast, neither me nor my thai wife enjoyed this.

The hotel is well worth a stay. I am a frequent traveller to South East Asia. Royal Ivory is a good place to stay for a couple of days in a vivid area. It is quiet, clean, has large rooms and I will defnitely come here again. Really good value for the money.

I stayed here for about 2.5 weeks and overall I enjoyed it. There is free WiFi but it is very unreliable and slow - works OK in a pinch. It's a little far down the Soi from Sukhumvit, so be prepared to walk or taxi a lot. The staff, although nice enough, all sort of seemed to be daydreaming to me; however, they were able to help me with just about everything I needed. It's very nice to even just hang out in the ground-floor lobby of this hotel, which is all open-air, and take in the breeze in the shade. Lastly, if you would like to take a couple trips while in Thailand, the travel agent in the lobby, Nee, is a very nice lady who can help you out with anything you need. I recommend going to see her. Overall, my stay here was very pleasant and I can't complain about anything really. Great for the money!

Whilst it was a bit of a walk to Nana plaza area, I found it very acceptable as an alternative to the regular Nana are hotels. I believe that one should disregard all of the previous messages about the condition of the hotel as it appears to have been renovated and both the rooms on my two stays were spotless and very well painted, polished and decorated

What I liked most was the mattres in the bed. It was very comfortabe and allowed me a sound sleep. What I liked least was the electric pot for boiling water. It was scaly inside, bottom. Pot was replaced.

The main reasons why we enjoyed our stay at this hotel were the friendly staff; the good value for money it provided; its location near public transportation and street food stalls; the size of the room; in-room safe; and the cooking facilities (microwave, stove, fridge) in the room. It's quite a hike from the hotel to Sukhumvit and the SkyTrain station. The walk there can be difficult due to the number of street vendors clogging the pavements. However, the food vendors sold good food meals that we subsisted on instead of going to restaurants. I used the internet facilities in the Rajah Hotel, which is also on Soi Nana. On the down side were the terrible breakfasts; the mediocre mandatory New Year's Eve dinner party; and the lack of cooking equipment in the room (no saucepans or utensils at all). Anyone looking for a long-term stay in a hotel near public transportation and entertainment venues will be pleased by this hotel.

The hotel is old and VERY run down. The rooms are infested with roaches and are generally dirty. The breakfast was less than desirable and served in very unsanitary conditions. The "buffet" was served in the open air restaurant and there were countless ants crawling over the food and fruit. The location was only a few blocks from the Nana Plaza area thus making it unpleasent to walk from the hotel to the Sky Train. I would never stay there again and I would not recommend the hotel to anyone desiring a safe, clean and quiet place to stay.

I have stayed in this hotel a number of times. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It is a 5 min walk to the nana entertainment complex so is not in the middle of all that madness. I would recommend this hotel 100%

A pleasant surprise. Spacious, clean rooms, decent restaurant. The kitchenettes are a great bonus. Located on a very quiet section of Soi 4, away from all the craziness of Nana. Excellent value for the money. Will stay here again.

Good value for the money. The hotel is down the street from the Nana Entertainment Plaza, but there are plenty of tuk tuks to take you up the street. I like the little kitchenette the rooms have. The hot water for the shower is supplied from one of those things that hang on the wall. Mine did not work very well, but I was there during the hot season so it did not matter. I plan on staying there again. Good value for the money. A little different from other hotels in BKK.

Hotel is approximately 10 minute walk from Sukhumvit Road. The street is quiet by the hotel and there are some good food options closer to the main strip. The room and bathroom were each a respectable size. The facilities were clean and usable, though nothing to rave about. The breakfast is standard fare. All in all, this hotel was a good value for the money considering its location and facilities.

The only problem I had was getting some towels. The room was spacious, hotel lobby and eating area is very comfortable and inviting. When I inquired for the room rate I was informed it was 2600 baht per night. Using Hoteltravel.com the rate was 1600 baht per night. I would stay there again.

Very nice and quiet hotel which is just get out of the crowd city, just need to walk a little bit to the public transport. No swimming pool, but very big and nice room, food is limited, but can be accepted. I think it is worth what I paid. I found it quite enjoyable!

Staff was very friendly. No hot water in the bathroom sink; I like hot water in both the shower and sink. Hotel is a long walk from entertainment, but would stay there again because of the staff.
