Large comfortable rooms. However, when we stayed was no hot water as the boiler was out of commission! The breakfast was absolutely terrible. I have stayed here many times before but this visit (July 2011) the place has gone to pot! Would suggest that any other hotel would be an upgrade! Certainly my last time here!

Look out for the man in the green jacket who runs things at the front desk. Petty and rude. A friend joined me for breakfast one morning. The buffet is barely acceptable, and they had the nerve to charge him 300 baht for scrambled eggs and toast. Seedy, threadbare, poorly maintained and not a place I'll go again. No car park available. My shower didn't work at all. No offer was made to move me. I had to wait for the "engineer" to come and repair it. When I checked out, I had to wait twenty minutes while Mr. Green Jacket fussed around doing nothing. Finally, he came back and told me what we both knew already: I pre-paid the room and had no expenses. That was easy, as they have no in-room minibar. I'm convinced it was his revenge for having to repair my shower ...

Access to the skytrain is good, a bit of a walk, but not bad. The hotel was clean. I was disappointed to find them charging for the wireless internet. That added to the price of the room because I wanted evening and morning access. I'll look closer next time. I would choose this hotel again if the price was right. Not bad at all.

I have been using the Regency Park Hotel on a regular basis for over 10 years now, the service has always been friendly and efficient. The location is central, the laundry service is excellent and fast if required. I have always found the staff to be friendly and helpfull.Transportation and tour information is available in the lobby, the hotel is close by to many restaurants as I believe now only a good breakfast is available in the hotel, however room service provide meals up to around midnight. I shall continue to use this hotel.

Our stay was pleasant and comfortable. we were pleased with the breakfast which was excellent. Overall, the stay was most statisfying except for one very important area :communication with the guests could be improved because of their poor understanding and spoken English. They were not able to recommend valuable information as regards to shopping areas and eating places such as " Food courts" or what we called " hawkers centres". The above is the only distatisfaction we had, otherwise, the stay was excellent - value for money. As such we have recommended our son to come over in June for a hoilday with his wife-in fact for thier honeymoon !!!

A great hotel in a fantastic location, very close to skytrain access and near to shopping area and restaurants and bars. A shame the pool was not available ( it was drained ) during our stay. And there was a fair amount of building work going on in and around the hotel, but it wasnt too noisy. Breakfast was fantastic, a huge choice ranging from japanese, french, english and thai...something for everybody! All the staff were very friendly and helpful and we were even upgraded to a deluxe room upon arrival and also after check out given use of a room to shower and freshen up prior to our long flight home. Would highly recommend this hotel. very well equipped. everything you could possibly need. very friendly and helpful.

Thw fitness room equipment could be kept in working condition with a minimum of effort but none of it works. We ended up joining a fitness club in the Queen's Park hotel just to exercise. The Manager keeps his staff in state of fear, the result is they are not so friendly except when he is on vacation then they are very friendly. The hotel is allowing the hotel to run down slowly. Give it a year, and then you might want to consider other hotels like their sister Accor hotel right down the street.

I have stayed at the Regency Park Hotel for several times over the last three years. I enjoyed very much my previous stays there. But, my last stay was anything but pleasure. When I arrived on 6 August at the hotel I was given a room on the ground floor (room number 114). The interior design of the room looked similar to the ones I had stayed before. The major difference was that the ceiling was only a few centimeters above my head (I am 190 cm tall). The second difference was that there was a rather unpleasant odour. To me the room appeared more like an air-raid shelter facility than a hotel room. When I approached the manager with my complaints, he agreed to have a look at the room to see whether my complaints were justified. The manager himself could not but agree to the fact that there was that unpleasant odour. He thus asked me to wait a while until he could locate another room. I was then given the room next to the original one, namely room number 115. The room did not differ at all from 114 except that the air-conditioner had been on for a while so that the strange odour had partly vanished. The manager made it clear to me that there was no other vacant room. I am sorry to say so, but the room was the worst I have ever stayed during my twelve years in Asia. I could not sleep during the night because I had to chase huge spiders (without exaggeration, the spiders were about 15cm in size) and cockroaches that were running around the room. 1. The common area of the hotel does not have airconditioning. This is an inconvenience. 2. The facilities are less than adequate. The swiming pool is not exactly a swiming pool, it is more like a wading pool. 3. The hotel has a strange policy of charging 600 Baht if a guest comes to the room after 6:00 PM. I have never experienced this in the USA or Europe. I am not going to stay in this hotel again!! 4. My guests reported that security personnel were less than friendly.

I thought the room a bit shabby and rundown. The bathroom didn't look too clean either. But for that price, it was reasonable. Hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. It's good in that it's in the heart of Sukhumvit, and there are many eateries within walking distance. But if you're thinking proximity to the train station, I find it quite a walk - about 10mins, not as near as I'd thought. Also, those travelling with kids might like to note that this hotel is smack in the middle of a red-light district, where skimpily clad girls sit outside bars (there's an adjoining one with the hotel!) as a display/showcase. It's very in-your-face solicitation. Men get pounced on while women get hostile stares. Not v friendly...Breakfast at hotel was reasonable. Variety was nothing to shout about but it was alright. TV reception was atrocious! Guess the "best" entertainment was the show outside the bar! If you want a cheap, reasonable place to stay, go ahead. But there are certainly better hotels in better locations in Bangkok that many of you can afford to pay slightly more for.

I choose this hotel thru reading of the travellers' reviews. I stayed here for 4 nights and by complimentary I was upgraded to a superior room; the room was spacious and clean. The ambience is quiet n cosy, staffs were friendly and helpful, a security counter to ensure visitors are guests of hotel, though the hotel is a few BTS stations away from the main shopping belt but BTS and subway are nearby (Need to walk a little to BTS & subway). Taxi are plenty (with no touting) and fare is not expensive. The restaurant was nice and quite, the breakfast has variety but foods were just ok. Travellers who want price for value; clean, quite and cosy ambience, this could be a choice hotel.

The rooms are spacious and clean. Location of hotel is convenient. Staffs at front desk were polite, but the service of the concierge should improve; at least put on a smile. The only complaint being that at times, the towels in the room were not replaced and the toiletries in the room were insufficient – only 1 bottle for shampoo for a double room (????). There was no spare roll of toilet paper in the room either. Also, the air-conditioning in the room was not strong enough. The other point being that there was no waste bin at the lobby…… Apart from the above, I feel that it was value for money

A wonderful little hotel with a superb breakfast buffet and the friendliest, most helpful and competent staff. The rooms are a good size with comfortable beds, good lighting and seating. Pool and fitness centre are small but adequate. Near to both subway and overhead train stations. Many good restaurants and services in area. Although the area is a busy one, our room was quiet and we heard very little street noise. This hotel has wonderful character - more suitable for adults I would think than for families with children.

Constuction Site right outside the window - quite old hotel. The best thing about the hotel is the breakfast. Deluxe room is about the same as a Standard room. There are better hotels for less money in Bangkok.

It looks normal from the outside but internally, it's very resort type. Very quiet and cosy. Very suitable for couples but not for family with kids and old folks cos it's location is not very convenient. It took us about 20 mins (with our kids n old folks) to walk to the Sky train station. However, the hotel staff are friendly and the rooms are spacious and clean. I wld still consider this hotel if I'm coming only with friends or hubby.

You will not find better location or value. Between two Skytrain stops, near subway, easy access to cabs, tuk-tuks, motorcylce taxis. Great food ranging from fancy restuarants to savory street eats. The hotel breakfast is rather pedestrian, and the premises could use an upgrade, but the friendly and efficient staff makes the stay enjoybale.

The staff is outstanding, and this hotel is an excellent value. The rooms are large with good beds. The shower and tub is difficult to use. Taxis are readily available on Soi 22. Skytrain and subway are 5 to 10 minute walks. It is my favorite hotel in Bangkok.

My wife, 2 teenage daughters and I have stayed here often on our annual trips to Thailand from USA. This past trip/Dec'05/Jan '06 we had 3 seperate reservations for different dates during our month long Thailand stay. All excellent. We were even upgraded to the Regency Suite on the 6th floor (elevator only goes to 5th Floor) by the manager on our last stay prior to departure back to USA. Staff is very friendly and speak English well This is our BKK hotel of choice. Very convenienct to Sukhumvit Rd, Emporium Shopping Complex, Sky Train and "adult entertainment". There is some construction going on next door, so it was a little noisy, but nothing we couldn't deal with, and then only during the day while we were there. I have recommended this hotel to many friends who have stayed and returned.

The room and food turn out much better than expected of such a small hotel. The room is even more spacious than some dearer hotels. I really like the casual atmosphere within. Close to Sukhumvit. The only drawback is the lack of a place to stop for picking up.

It is the most value for $ hotel I think in the whole Bkk. Rooms are big enough for a family of 3 and I love the super king size bed. Choice of food for breakfast is very limited however, food is in good quality.

Being on a business trip the major criteria is inexpensive good quality accommodation. The staff were very good and attentive and I have relayed this also to the hotel management. The pool facility was a little below par but useable and the rooms had a slight damp, old smell. Well located in Sukhumvit, not too far from PP BTS station, good restaurants surround the hotel and shopping is up to par with other areas of Bangkok. As a value for money business accommodation. Would hesitate to recommend as a holiday hotel as the facilities you require of a hotel for holidays are not up to standard or available
