Rama Gardens Hotel

Star Ratings :   Location : Don Muang Airport   Rooms :  500
The Rama Gardens are set in a quiet corner of tropical gardens in Bangkok that come as an extraordinary bonus to its location which is comfortably close to the Airport in one direction, yet the Rama Gardens is within easy distance of the city centre in the other.

Rama Gardens Hotel was the perfect choice for our one night stay in Bangkok, en route to Koh Samui. The Grand Courtyard Deluxe room was very spacious and beautifully appointed. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the buffet breakfast excellent. We would not hesitate to recommend Rama Gardens to fellow travellers and would certainly stay again should the opportunity arise. One small hitch on arrival in Bangkok regarding our pick-up service. We had turned left after exiting customs instead of right and subsequently wasted some time waiting around, then phoning the hotel and waiting ...

We have stayed at the Rama Gardens several times and have always been pleased with the choice of this hotel. Staff are friendly and very helpful. The hotel is near to Don Muang Airport, and they can arrange a pick up from the airport. We have only eaten at one of the restaurants and found the food to be reasonably priced. We would be very happy to stay at the Rama Gardens again. It is good value for money.

I like the location of this hotel, even it is not easy to reach. If you come form down town you past the hotel in direction to airport and have to go until the next U-Turn which is about 8km away. But the Garden and the quiet location make you forget to be in BKK. The breakfast is excellent as well as food in the restaurants. During the week you should order the taxi at least 30 min in advanced coz the Lobby is far from the street.

Nice Hotel, but too far away from the main road, Early check-in not as problem, no extra charge. Would stay there again.

Room and bathroom excellent Location a bit 'out of the way', but they do provide shuttle buses Good choice of food Staff understanding of English is not good enough in some cases - need to persevere when asking questions and ask several different people if in doubt. Will definitely stay there next time.

the deluxe (separate building) was much better than their regular rooms, well worth the extra cost. Good hotel for Don Muang airport, which is reopening for some domestic flights.

I would recommend this to all my friends. Exceptional value!!! I have spent twice the amount of money and did not have as good of a room or services. They have wonderful gardens to walk through and view. Expertly clean. wonderfully furnished, and modern rooms. Excellent massage at the sports centre and multiple swimming pools, also very clean.

We stayed at the Rama for a couple nights as a stopover and some shopping in Bangkok. The hotel was good as they provided transport into the couple of key shopping areas and were very good about the whole thing. Room was a little daggy and dated but clean and had the facilities required. I would certanly use it as a base again, but there is nothing close by and not a place you could go for a walk.

The resort is close to the airport but a little far from tourists spots in Bangkok. The hotel building is deep inside the resort so it takes a while to get out to the street. The room and bed are very clean and comfortable. The tennis courts and swimming pools are big, but the gym is small based on U. S. standard. There are only three massage therapists available so advance booking is highly recommended. Food at the hotel is very average and service is slow. At one occasion it took them almost an hour to cook two orders of the specials of the day at the downstairs Italian restaurant.

Very large rooms with every facility. Mini bar was very good value for money. Good. But the hotel was a bit soulless. Space seemed under-utilised. Staff seemed under-trained. Concierge not available on arrival. Reception staff not welcoming and unable to provide us with basic toiletries (disposable razor) when Thai Airways had lost our overnight luggage. Would have been marooned without shuttle bus/taxi. Long way from shopping area and because of one way traffic system hotel difficult to access without long detour. Breakfast - ordinary. But we had one of the best Chinese meals we have eaten outside of China in the hotel's restaurant.

Beautiful hotel. About 20 minutes drive from the airport with Shuttles running every hour. If you get a taxi, make sure the meter is running. Well worth the extra to upgrade to deluxe room.

This is a great hotel. There are 3 room types and it is worth paying a little extra to get the middle ranked ones - they were huge, the decor was lovely and facilities excellent. Beds were a little hard, but that suited me. I had a massage while there - very cheap but excellent. Only down side were the faces of the staff. You associate Thailand with smiling faces, but we didn't see too many. Don't know if they were miserable or it is a cultural thing. Some staff also had very little english. But we would stay again and that is the best recommendation you can make.

This was a perfect airport hotel. Only 10 minutes from the airport with free airport transfer to and from the hotel. The Skytrain is nearby as well. Courteous and professional staff. Spacious rooms, quiet, clean and comfortable. Great breakfast too.

The room was very clean and good size. Because of the expansiveness of the hotel it was not always apparent where the room is located and the front office staff wasn't very helpful. the overall experience was good and I will stop by again.

I enjoy this hotel because it is location is convenient for me, it is clean, and the food is good. Although I did not enjoy the German food this time. I usually recommend this hotel to my friends traveling from the states because of its location to the airport and shuttles to shopping.

We love staying at Rama Gardens. The staff are very helpful, courteous, not intrusive. The lounge is very relaxing. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. It is good value for the price. We like the option of the free transport to downtown and the Central mall. This is very good for people who do not know Bangkok. We love to stay here.

We really like the Rama Gardens. It is a good location. It's quiet and had very good service. We like the shuttle service that is provided to downtown and the mall. This is very good for people who do not know Bangkok. We like the lounge music, and the restaurant choices. We really like to stay there.
