We visit Bangkok three times a year and stay for two weeks. Novotel Lotus continues to be our favorite hotel for over 20 years. It is conveniently located a few steps off Sukhumvit, and a short stroll from the BTS (Skytrain) station at Phrom Phong and the Emporium shopping center, with excellent restaurants and supermarket. It is one BTS station away from Asoke BTS station and the MRT (underground) train, and Asia Book store. The hotel is clean and functions adequately; the rooms are reasonably comfortable. Theres a decent selection of tv channels and the breakfast is elaborate by the standad of some more expensive hotels. But the Novotel is showing its age badly and a makeover is overdue. Tired, faded furniture and fittings do not do it credit. However the location is central and at current prices, one cannot complain too much.

I was very pleased with the hotel, my room was a little tired but very clean. The staff is extremely helpful. My friend came for two days and her room on a lower flood was a lot bigger. The breakfast buffet was very good and offered good choice. I asked for hot milk the first day and it was brought every day after without asking. Complaint- the charged 80 dollars for a weeks internet which is more than hotels in the US

A clean, comfortable hotel, reasonably priced, in prime location near BTS station. Friendly, helpful staff and good buffet breakfast with lots of variety for Western, Asian and ME preferences. Good sized pool suitable for relaxing yet just big enough to stretch out and do some laps. Adequate gym that meets ones needs as well. We have been staying here for decades and keep returning.

Service was excellent - was greeted with a welcome drink on arrival. Room was spacious and very clean. Buffet breakfast had a good variety with local and international food. Location was great - close to Emporium shopping centre (about 5 minutes walk) and close to MRT. Sky Train station was about 10 minutes walk. Would stay there again.

Spacious rooms, excellent breakfast, good connection to the city center via BTS (sky train) within 10 minutes. The hotel is in a side street of Sukhumvit, so you do not hear construction noise. It also has an outside pool.
Airport can be reached via express bus line (150 Baht) or public bus (#552, 32 Baht) - calculate 1.5 to 2h for this!
Close to the hotel, there is a small shopping mall. The bigger ones are in the center (Siam central station).

Extremely friendly staff from reception,concierge to room staff. 5 star breakfast. Great in-house Indian band. Clean rooms. A hotel where everything works like a machine. Close to Skytrain and Emporium shopping centre. Maybe swimming pool could be a bit more private in its location right outside the windows of the restaurant but can't be helped. Maybe some low pot plants strategically placed might be good idea.

The hotel is good located but that is the only good thing...we took a deluxe room and it seemed like a regular, low standard room. As we entered the room there were only two bath towels without any small or foot towels.
The registration workers were very unfriendly & unwilling to help. We paid as much as 70$ for a late check out !!! We spend lovely time in Thailand, we were in many hotels and this is the only place that I will never enter again, even for free!
