I have stayed at this hotel several times and it provides an excellent base when I am staying in Bangkok. It is well situated close to shops, restaurants, and the Skytrain. The rooms are excellent, clean and quiet, and the staff are both courteous and helpful. The hotel's limousine service is excellent and costs only a little more than local taxis. The buffet breakfast is second to none and there is always plenty of hot water in the ensuite bathrooms (something that is sadly lacking in many other hotels in this price bracket). I will be staying at the Narai again next time I am in Bangkok....

I have stayed at the Narai hotel every year when I am in Bangkok,no doubt it is an excellent value for the money and they have a very good breakfast in the morning, and close to the sky train and entertainment. I always recommend this hotel to family and friends.

If you have business meeting in Silom area, then this hotel will be good. Else if you are there for shopping then there is not much shops around for you to get a good bargain, and it is quite a walk to the nearest BTS.

This place is totally professional, they have obviously been at this game for years. Excellent breakfast with a huge choice, the same goes for their lunch buffet. You can get a short tuk tuk trip to the skytrain which'll take you anywhere in Bangkok. The rooms are perfectly adequate for any of your needs, but all you'll be doing in them is sleeping and showering in them........after all you are in Bangkok!

Excellent location on Silom road make it easy to get to almost anywhere. The standard rooms are a little old and in need of renovation but overall the hotel is good value for money.

Good Hotel on main Silom Road, so it is easy and safe to come back late.Quite far from Skytrain, 5-8 minutes walk. Breakfast ok and you have free wireless internet connection in all hotel. If you go with taxi ask always for meter on. Go down if not. There are a lot of taxis in BKK. It will be cheaper all the time this way. If you go Pattaya you must see cabaret show . It will be a shocking experience. Trust me, you will have what to tell home to your friends.

I have been staying at the Narai everytime I am in Bangkok,I think its the best value for your money with very good service and food, especially the breakfast, the only little drawback is the 15 minutes walk to the skytrain other then that its an ecellent hotel to stay in Bangkok

The location of this hotel is great for shopping on the Silom Road. Definitely worth booking through HotelTravel.com as the rates were much cheaper. Enjoyed the street restaurant. Did not like the bathroom very much as it was too cramped and old-fashioned.

In our opinion Hotel Narai is good value for money. We chose it because of the location and previous experiences, but this time we were a bit surprised how difficult it was to find an average price but still good restaurant nearby, especially evenings. Maybe the area is more like commercial zone than tourist. BTS Skytrain station is close and also few department stores. Hotel Narai is nice and clean. Pool is big enough and gym has been renovated. At it's price category I don't expect more but I am fully satisfied. Pool and gym were clean and kept in good order. Very friendly and polite staff on the floor I stayed. No complaints about their job. Good location near BTS Skytrain station, a bit quiet surroundings on the evenings when it comes to restaurants. Farely easy to reach by car (taxi). Good standard at this price category. Hotel prices, what else can I say. No complaints about quality. staff polite and friendly, good service. Pool was big and deep enough, good service, newspapers and other magazines to read.

Silom road is the perfect place to stay as it's really lively, day and night. The hotel is 10 minutes from Saladaeng BTS station and 10 minutes from Surasak BTS station and that's a good thing cause had it been closer to Saladaeng, it would have been in a quite busy and noisy place! The breakfast just rocks! I haven't tried the italian restaurant, but I think it's better going out for lunch or dinner, and get THAI food! (who goes to Bangkok to eat pasta and pizzas?) The hotel hall is huge and nice and the rooms are big enough. And there are many tour operators there to provide value-for-money one-day trips! For instance, you can go to Ayuthala (and surroundings) or to the floating market (and surroundings) for only 36 euros each (lunch and pick-up included). Very good hotel. I recommend it. Huge bed, no smell at all in the room, not noisy, TV set with cable, mini-bar, safe-lock, hair-dryer... Nothing to complain about. Good quality. Many different tour operators in the hall, offering value-for-money trips. Many taxis waiting for customers night and day in front of the hotel. the swimming pool is ok but not fabulous (lack of sun). It's on Silom road (that's the reason why i picked that hotel), which is the best place to stay (with Siam or some parts of Sukhumvit)... BUT... as it's 10 minutes (walk) from Saladaeng, it's quiet and you won't be harassed by "sexy movies" (as they call it) vendors in the street ;) There are always 3 or more taxis in front of the h

The breakfast was good, so was the room, for the price I paid. The door and locking mechanism for the rooms is outdated. There was no tea-making facility in the room. The locations of the Skytrain stations are not really close to the hotel, but the overall experience was good.

Narai Hotel is clean, fairly basic accomodation in a great and safe area of Bangkok. Its got a small gym and nice swimming pool, the restaurants and bar looked nice but with so many places close by I didn't eat in. Its not your 5 star hotel but then you haven't paid for 5 star either. I thought it was great value for money and friendly.

I had a beautiful and big room on the 12th floor. The view ist amazing, but the sound of the air conditioning system was very loud. The pool area is nice and not too crowded in the morning, unlike the breakfast room. It takes about 15 minutes walk to Patpong.

This is the third time I have stayed at the Narai and it is still one of the best value for money hotels in Bangkok. The service is excellent and the staff are very helpful. Large room and large bed, ensuite also has a bath. Excellent value restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Location is good but the Sky Train station is a hot 10 - 15 minute walk. Hotel taxi service was far better and a better price than the Airport Limo service.

Good size, comfortable, clean, and good location. This is very friendly place, with a lot of atmosphere, lively and good food. Excellent staff and service. We were very happy there, and will certainly stay at Narai again. It will be even beter if we could have tea/coffee maiking facilities. That should make this place really comfortable. Easy access to shopping etc. Nice walk down the street.

Bad experience - As I needed to get in contact with the Tourist police to clear a possible fraud the hotel desk sent me ( very reluctant to help) by foot to an non existing office. Returning back to the hotel I made it very clear that they needed to give better info where to find it. Decided that one from the office should join me and go there with the hotel car service on the hotels expense. Turned out that the local police station could not help me, we should go to the main station in some other part of the town. Agreed that this xtratravel should be paid by me ( car expense). Having cleared the police matter and coming back to hotel I was charged for 3 hrs even though I just used them for 2 hrs. They could not understand that the hotel should pay as agreed. So I paid even though of course you get a bad feeling in your mouth that everybody with their specific means are trying to get as much money out from you as possible. Next time i will travel in that area I will of course remember this. Hotel experience As i arrived the hotel was full so I was upgraded the first night at the hotels expense. Next day I had to move to a standard room which was OK but this caused some extra incovenience as it affected my own free available time to plan my stay in Bangkok.

I have stayed at this hotel several times and always found it a good place to stay when I am in Bangkok. The rooms are quiet, spacious, comfortable, and clean. The breakfast is excellent with a wide range of food to suit all tastes and the pasta restaurant in the lobby is also very good. The hotel is well situated for all attractions and is only a few minuites walk from the skytrain. My only complaint on my latest visit is that the hotel had overbooked on our first night (our room had been booked several weeks before) and we were stuck in a cheaper hotel just up the road for the night. It was inconvenient and we were not offered any compensation. In general I would say that the cost of rooms is about right and represents good value for money. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and others.

The room was very small for the price. The bathroom was dingy. When I asked reception the difference between this room (superior) and a standard I was told only the furniture. For nearly $US30 per night I felt that there was no value for money. I could get a much larger room at the Sofitel for the same price.
