I have stayed here many times. It is perfectly located. A short walk to the night market, the sky train and the sub- way . I would never stay anywhere else.

A big hotel in Silon at the entrance of Patpong Road that's loaded with fellow tourists, and one that's showing just a bit of age. (They still use metal room keys!) That said, they know the hospitality business very well, and The Montien is a comfortable choice and a good value.

Expensive for the area. Charges for guests were excessive. All staff were very good and helpfull.

Great breakfast, service, cleanliness. Only negatives: hard pillows, limited cable stations, no iron, no alarm clock

The Montien is right next to the night market and the bars of Patpong so a great place to stay for your first time in Bangkok. Also close to Sky train.

The location of this hotel was excellent, within walking distance of the Sky Train and lots of shopping opportunities. We enjoyed the pool immensely, as we were ending 3 weeks of fairly fast paced traveling in China.

The hotel has a nice breakfast restaurant with a great selection of foods and a reasonable pool area and gym that we enjoyed using. The staff were mainly pleasant and friendly save for the annoying attempts by the lobby staff to ferry you off to certain tailors/restaurants etc which force you to be somewhat rude to avoid lengthy and unwelcome 'sales pitches'. This is part of life in Bangkok but the hotel should better manage its staff to avoid this. Overall, I would rate the stay as a 6 out of 10

I have stayed in Montien Hotel, Bangkok several years back. In our last stay with my family, I noted that the rooms (Rooms 442 & 444) have come of age and the glamour the hotel once had has been overtaken by some other hotels in the city. But the service & breakfast buffet are still excellent & staffs are very courteous. Room reservation was handled perfectly and we were able to get to our rooms in no time. Security and cleanliness surrounding the hotel have improved which makes Montien Hotel an ideal place for a family to stay. I will definitely recommend Montien to friends & associates. Our room size is not too big nor too small and with basic amenities like refrigerator, safe. It was just perfect for a cozy stay. It would help if ironing facilities are provided as well. Rooms are cleaned regularly and on time, beds are turned over every night, linens are clean. However we did get one bath towel that bore mutilation. It was clean though. Staffs are very courteous and very accommodating. Choices in the bundled breakfast buffet are wide. Accessible to shopping. However, the newer and bigger malls are a taxi ride. Surroundings are clean and we felt safe. Taxis are readily available & Montien is close to the Skytrain. Definitely, for value for money, convenience & accessibility to shopping, entertainment and security.

The hotel is very close to Patpong for night shopping without any issues coming from that area. My only complaint was that the live musical entertainment was carried out at a very high volume and prevented any conversation without shouting. The breakfast was excellent, probably the best I have had in my many visits to Bangkok. The bathrooms are a little dated and the baths are built for very small people so be prepared to lift your legs above your head to soak.Local transport, both taxi and BTS is easily found.

Montien hotel is a pretty good hotel. Our maid was very nice. She would always greet us when she saw us. The hotel is really right in the heart of silom road. So, a lot of good places to eat, shop, and have entertainment. A lot of areas for internet cafes and massage places. The hotel isn't too expensive, but the room could be updated. If so, then it would be a really good choice. Yet, the room is acceptable. However, the tv reception was not good. It was all static, so the image wasn't clear. Yet, we came to explore Thailand, so it wasn't too bad of a letdown. Also, the beef rendang (curry red beef) at the hotel is really good. Also, when you are in Thailand, you need to try the Tom Yam Talay. It is spicy seafood soup with mushrooms and herbs. It is really good. So, the Montien is a very good choice to stay at, overall. Good hotel in a good location.

I already had accomodation at the Montien years ago, with satisfaction. I usually stay at the Tawana Ramada (next door to the Mon tien and same standard and price) but this time it was fully booked. The Montien has a good value for money specially being so well located. Luxury standard for average price.

I have stayed at this hotel on many occasions, put up in this hotel by Thai Airways on promotional plans. The staff are frindly and helpful. The rooms are clean. The security is excellent. I have enjoyed staying at Montien Hotel (Silom) at 54 Surawongse Rd, Bangkok, Thailand, and would not hesitate to do it again.

Central to railway and shopping. Great breakfast. Did not appreciate the street girls being allowed into the hotel to entertain guests. We have stayed at the Montien many times previous and the girls were either not allowed or it was more discreet. I would not like this hotel to become a 5 star red light establishment. Otherwise a very good hotel to stay at.

The Panorama Restaurant was changed to a very exclusive restaurant, was great quality, but not what I need during a leisure stay. Suggest to offer cheaper options at the menu....
