The enviroment is lovely.But the bathroom is not so good, there were pools of water on the floor after shower.

Excellent location, close to sky train, shopping and entertainment. Charming and modern lobby with beautiful flower arrangements. Rooms rather small and very noisy. Turning on shower knob releases water and extreme high pitched noise heard on the entire floor. Friendly staff. Awful chinese restaurant on the top floor but very interesting and cozy wine bar on the 37 floor. Parking area which connects through mezzanine floor needs an access ramp.

This is still our favourite Bangkok hotel. Lke a lot of other hotels in South-East Asia we thought that the airconditioning did not cool the room down to our liking (we have the same problem with the cabin temperature set by Thai Air and we try not to fly with them for this reason).

Room has been newly refurbished and is spacious. Breakfast is very good - one of the best! Location is not that ideal as it is quite far from the train station and a 10 to 15-min cab ride to MBK.

The chinses restaurant in the hotel was great but when we orderes room service we were a bit dissapointed. The breakfast was ok,lot's of choices, less choice would be better, but better quality would make it great! For examlpe soya milk, better quality fruits, etc. Our overall stay was great, though the rooms need a little freshining up. The beds are great!!!! Everyone is very kind and very helpful. Never have to wait long for anything. Real close to trains, and always taxis at the hotel. Reazl close to tyhe 'night bazzar' which we loved! Will go back for sure!

This hotel offers quality with friendly service. There is nothing to complain about, except the club lounge area which may get crowded at times, but the staff does their best to make you comfortable. Free Broadband Internet access in Club rooms.

Be prepared to be treated like royalty in the Sofitel Silom. The staff are the most diligent, polite and friendly I have ever encountered. The facilities are excellent particularly the super comfortable bed which helped me shake off my jetlag in a few hours. The restaurant service is great and the so is the food. The bar is a little expensive in Thai terms but it is worth the little extra for the view of the city. Located so close to a major shopping area and with easy access to the Skytrain I was able to go everywhere I needed without difficulty. Best hotel I've stayed in. Congratulations to the Sofitel Silom! Keep up the great work.

The location is just right on the line. It is in a quiet area but is convenient to go elsewhere via BTS. The room facilities are OK. Breakfast is good and takes care those late comers. I observe that it is quite occupied even during week day. I am sure that it deserves and I will recommend it to my friends.

This is my 2nd stay in this hotel. It is good value for money. The location is great, near to shops, restaurants and sky train station. The rooms are a good size and comfortable. The staff are well trained and helpful. Only complaint is the plumbing in the bathroom - you can hear everytime your neighbour flushes. But other than that, it was all good.

Great location, 5 minute walk to the Sky Train station; 15 minute walk to the shopping area on Charoen Krung Rd. Club lounge included complimentary breakfast buffet and happy hour drinks and snacks in the afternoon. This was the fifth time I stayed at the Sofitel Silom and the experience was as wonderful as ever. What I liked were the well-appointed spacious rooms and the wonderful staff they have running the place, who are both helpful, friendlyn and knowledgeable. Housekeeping service was most efficient, having my room cleaned during the hour I was at breakfast on most mornings. The only snag is that this year, the room rates at the hotel has gone up by 30%, making it less value for money. However, given the quality of my stay, I would definitely be staying at the Sofitel Silom again. What I can I say ... an oasis in the midst of the Bangkok dust and heat. It was a pampering experience to stay at the Sofitel Silom where they have obviously trained their staff to give everyone a good hotel experience. The rooms are clean and well laid-out with beautiful bathrooms.

The Sofitel Silom is as good, or better, than any other Sofitel you've ever stayed at. It’s extremely well located, the restaurants there are great and while it is towards the upper end of the ‘expense scale’ it really does represent excellent value for money.

Staff was very friendly and attentive. check-in and check-out were smooth. Especially after a long flight it was great to get the room early in the morning at 7:00 am. We thank the staff and the hotel for this kindness. Another nice surprise was the birthday cake for my wife as a service by the hotel. Breakfast at the 38th floor with a nice city view was delicious and plentiful.

A good hotel with well trained staff in general. Great location and good value for money. 2 minor complaints - breakfast was too continental/western and did not have enough Thai dishes. Would have loved to have the local breakfast dishes as an option. 2nd - housekeeping came to tidy the room at 8:30am on Sunday morning - knocked on the door and woke me up. They need to review this policy - don't disturb guests on a weekend morning unless you are sure they are out of the room or have requested for the room to be made up.

The hotel was "deluxe" for considered a "standard" room. I really enjoyed the wood floor and contemporary and comfortable furnishings. It was a very good value and I would stay there over where I previously stayed and paid more (Erawan, Sheraton, etc.)

The hotel is pretty impressive in itself and I have to mention how comfortable the beds were. The food was very good and the staffs were really professional. Only bad side was that the internet usage in the business center was more than 10 times more expensive than any cyber cafe in Bangkok and the connection was not excellent. I will definitely book a room in Sofitel Silom when I go back to Bangkok.

This is one of my favourite spots in Bangkok, the smiles and service from the staff are worth waking up for, the food is first rate (although the request to pay for water at the lunch uffet was unexpected, but when I expressed my surprise the iced water was free despite instructions). This hotel is outstanding. I cannot praise it enough. The standards are very high, and the staff are very friendly and efficient. I would definitely stay there again, as it is an excellent hotel, and excellent value for money. The rooms are very clean and the decor is very tasteful. The beds are very comfortable, and the air conditioning is great. The bathroom is very clean, and there is a self coding safe in the room that is free of charge. You are provided with lovely slippers and a bathrobe for your stay. We arrived a little early (4 hours) but that was not a problem. They prepared our room super fast, which was great as we had been travelling for 15 hours. 10/10

The lobby of the hotel was closed for one day as the hotel was sponsoring a concert/party on 14 July. I had to enter the hotel through a side door, and the attention of the hotel staff was clearly absorbed by the party which lasted until 2 a.m. I found this to be incredibly annoying. To make things even worse, the guests of the hotel could not attend the concert without paying additional money. I felt like a second class guest in my own hotel. Also, services at the business center were way over priced, especially the Internet.

Attention to detail was top class. During our stay it was my daughters birthday and without any prompting from ourselves three staff came to our room with a birthday cake for her and sang happy birthday to her. My husband and I went for our honymoon to Bangkok and stayed for couple of days at the Sofitel Silom Hotel in May this year (2005). Our stay at the hotel was excellent. It was more and better than we could dreamed off, both for the outstanding service, the size of the room, the breakfast, the restaurants the location of the hotel and the price of the room. We have told our friends about the Sofitel Silom Hotel and recommend it fully. We are looking forward to stay at the Sofitel Silom Hotel in Bangkok again hopefully soon in our live.

The sofitel silom is in an ideal location, very near to Patpong market. It is excellent value for money, and the rooms and decor are beautiful. We were even upgraded as there were no none smoking rooms left when we arrived. The reception area and breakfast room were gorgeous, and have recommended the hotel to several friends.

I honestly thought that this was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. We stopped here at the end of a backpacking trip and althouggh we turned up in shorts and T -Shirts dragging our backpacks we were treated no differently from the business men and women. The room was excelletn and the staff extra helpful. They stopped the airport bus for us when we left and helped us on with our bags as well. WE couldn't have wanted better!
