I love this hotel with its wonderful views of the river, great professional staff, excellant breakfast and evening meals. I really like the situation away from the tourist hipe with great Thai streets outside the door and all that delicious street food.I have stayed here six times in the last year and will be back.

This hotel is very good value for money. It exceeded my expectation of the property. I was worried that this will be an old property, but their renovation work was very well done. The rooms are nicely furnished in Thai style. It is like a small resort with everything you need in a 4-star property. I've stayed in other 4 - 5 stars property on the river, this one is definitely acceptable and I may return again. The ferry shuttle is a bit inconvenient, 30 mins each time, but then it is still very convenient to take taxi to the city. Do not really like the check-in part, where hotel staff try to pursuade you to upgrade, and will show you those suite rooms before bringing you to your room, but other than that, all seems fine. There can be more food options or service at the breakfast buffet, but if 4-stars property, then it is still acceptable. Overall, our experience of the hotel is very pleasant, if travel on budget and want to stay by the river, then I would recommend this hotel.

This Hotel has an excellent position on the riverside and is only a very short distance from the overhead rail system.Take the complimentary shuttle boat fro a real experience. However, the gym has very old equipment some of which doesn;t work at all and the staff seem unable to fix them. The breakfast buffet is only average and the coffee awful.Next time, I'll probably look elsewhere for accom in Bangkok. Also, if you are a non smoker, be sure to stipulate that when booking, some of the rooms reek of cigarette smoke.

The hotel is in a faboulous location overlooking the river, with easy access to the skytrain and express boats. The room was a good size with an adequate bathroom, the standard of cleanliness was very good. Very good value for money. I would stay there again.

The hotel is in the middle of renovations. If I was to do it again, I would spend a little more and go to the business level. That wing of the hotel seemed to be the priority. If you are not happy with the room, just tell the desk. Our first room was not good at all and they quickly moved us to another room when we asked. The location is near the sky train and has a free boat to take you to that pier. We enjoyed our stay.

As usual the Menam offered excellent value for money and I would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone. The room was not quite the standard of my previous stay but I attribute that to my ensuring I got a king size bed instead of the twin doubles they keep assigning.

The hotel facilities in general were excellent. Their staff was very helpful and friendlly. Unfortunately we ran into a bit of problem with getting the wrong type of room while checking in, they did not have the double bed as we requested and the room was not very nice in general. The next two rooms we were given were still under a major renovation (which the front staff were unaware of) When we finally got a nice clean room away from the area under renovation, then we finally were able to relax and enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The pool area is very nice, you can look right onto the river, and they serve an excellent seafood buffet dinner. We will certainly consider staying there again the next time we are in Bangkok.

I have stayed at Menam 5 times previously, with postive experiences. But, this visit was terribble. They put us in the wrong room made move at 1:00Am into an unfinished room undergoing refurbishment, we would not stay in it, so they put us in another room on the same floor under refurbishment, we were so tire we just stayed, but very dissatisfied. In the morning they would not let us take our breakfast in the dining area overlooking the river, where I have always had breakfast. This even though there was virtually no-one in the dining room at the time. All in all, I was disappointed in the Hotel, and it was the first time I had taken my wife with me, she was disgusted.
