Rated #131 for all Bangkok hotels
We stayed in the old tower. Some of the rooms on the lower floors look into a car park so are a bit dark and have no view. Other than that the rooms are comfortable and well furnished and the house keeping is of a very good standard. All in all a very pleasant experience. The staff particularly is a joy to deal with. Smiling, prompt and efficient. The location of the hotel is excellent close to the nightlife and shopping and yet away from the noise. Food is excellent and good value for money. Possibly the TV in the room needed an upgrade and the number of channels available needs to be increas...

I was given the older Plaza Tower where the rooms were still of the old design with old tv cabinets and aged decor. The bathroom is very small for a 5 star hotel and I would rate it only a 5 out of 10.

Bathrooms are VERY small, Room size is ok. pool area is quite boring, but the location is excellent -very central. Business services poor, only a few computers available for internet access, and they were always occupied. Had to use an internet cafe.

Well situated. 4 stars standard on average. Type of hotel too big for more personalised feeling. Some sort of sleeping"factory".

Friendly & helpful staff. Rooms are very nice and hotel is ideally located for walking around. Much better in every respect than Holiday Inn Ploenchit Rd where we stayed for 2 more nights.

I had chosen to book with Holiday Inn for the mare fact that it is a well know hotel chin and I have stayed in many Holiday Inn’s around the world and was confidant that I would be having a great stay with my family. But boy was I mistaken.
When walking into our room and overpowering odor of mold was present, the carpets were filthy and the bath room was full of mold. We even had the pleasure of having cockroaches in our room. This was the most dreadful hotel stay that I have ever had. We had spend 7 days in Puhket and had a wonderful experience, before checking into the Holiday Inn towards the end of our holiday. I believe that the Holiday Inn is undergoing renovation, so I truly hope that there would be a great improvement.

This hotel provided us with a very relaxed stay. I must be honest and say that my stay in the Holiday Inn in Phuket was better than the Holiday Inn in Bangkok but two very good run hotels.

Don't go there, you waste your time. Pathwan princess hotel is the best. Novatel second. If not, then get a good hotel in Siam, where the markets and most fun stuff is. While Silom is only the second best area due to its closeness to siam squair. Also if you hate insects don't stay at this hotel . Insects, bad rooms and poor room service.

Downside: As other members have mentioned, the breakfast room is overcrowded every day at peak times. Something that shouldn’t happen: Reception tried to charge me a phonebill of the person who stayed in the room before me. It took a long while and lots of patience until they realized their mistake. No excuse followed. On the other hand, the room including the bathroom was clean and modern. Comfortable bed. Plenty of towels. Delicious breakfast even for vegetarians. The hotel has a high standard and nobody bothers you (except at check-out). Many flight crews stay here. Location is ok. Near shopping (Central, Robinson) and river. Close to Skytrain.

All staff showed helpful attitude but there was great variation in effectiveness. Example, my room key had to be reset three times (by the same individual) before it would work meaning three trips to the room and back to the reception area for me. My room was not ready at check in, despite a 5 pm arrival time. The non-smoking room smelled of stale smoke and room freshener. I was finally given an acceptable room (I was paying for a Superior room to begin with). Service was slow in lobby restaurant. The aroma piped into the lobby was overwhelming and totally unnecessary - it made me wonder what odors were being covered up! The concierge and the doorman were excellent, proactively offering assistance, accurate information and useful advice.

The hotel was undergoing renovations and there was no lounge/bar area, which was a shame as the last time we really enjoyed listening to the band. I would like to make one suggestion to the hotel - when people book non-smoking rooms it is because them want non-smoking. Your strong attempt to persuade us into a smoking room was not appreciated. Location is great and we found it good value-for-money. I would stay here again (as indeed I have).

Hello, This was our second time staying at the Holiday Inn Silom. I like this Hotel. My first trip to Bangkok I stayed here with a tour. This time it was just My Wife and Myself. I must admit the main reason I went back was because I had stayed there before and I thought since We were on our own this trip, it would be a good idea to have familiar surroundings. Also they have a great American buffet breakfast. It was just as good this time. The rooms are a good size, and very nice. Its a good location too. Close to the Skytrain, and the river. We enjoyed our stay very much. The little bar downstairs, I believe it is called Cheers had a trio of singers and they were pretty good. Nice place for a little nightcap on the way to Our room

We stayed in the new year eve, almost everything was excellent. (internet using price was really over-priced. In my opinion, in this communication and technology era, such a 4 star hotel should provide free internet) THANKS ALOT, FOR SUCH A GOOD HOLDAY *****

Good location and all, even though it is a good 40 min from the airport during busy traffic times. Some problems with the room not being ready in which I was told to wait for 45 min, however, I said this would not do so the hotel gave me another room. The room was missing a few basic things in the bathroom but otherwise was fine. I would recommend this hotel , and am happy to find a decent hotel in a decent price range in Bangkok, as there are many I have crossed my list of places to stay.

Very service minded personnell, excellent breakfast. Close to big street but still quiet. Central but still guarded. A big room with a king size bed but also place for all other neccessary details. Near to other transportation possibilities. The pub was not very busy. Nothing to complain about.
