I have stayed at this hotel many times over the last 25 years, and have chosen it for its location, and general comfort. There are many excellent restaurants, if you do not wish to go out. I always stayed in a Landmark room, which is effectively a suite, but these were getting rather old. On my last visit I stayed in a Dusit Grand room, which is the brand new renovated equivalent of a Landmark room. The room was very nice indeed, though I thought the bathroom was huge, somewhat at the expense of the lounge area. Also, broadband had to be installed by the Club staff, it was not already there. This was my second stay - room was fine, location great as was the morning buffet breakfast.Again, my only complaint is that the rooms are not properly sound proofed and you can hear too much from the corridor and neighbouring rooms. However, I would/will stay again due to convenience and value for money.

This is at best a 2-star hotel. Room very very old, bathroom terrible. Breakfast ok, but not as good as in other 3 Star hotels. Staff friendly and professional, but it doesn't help if everything else is completely unacceptable. Worst hotel I stayed in Thailand so far (20-30 experiences). Wanted to show something typical and "special" to my girlfriend who joined me during my business trip. Surely needs to be refurbished and the price offered is totally off, considering that ANY other 4 star hotel is without any doubt of higher standards and cost less.

The Hotel location is the best, I have stayed in other hotels in Bangkok but "Dusit Thani" has a very good location...there is the supermarket next to it....and "Mc Donalds" which is open 24 hours just opposite to it....there is a shopping mall right infront of it....as soon as you get out of the enterance....there is the Sky train right infront of you...I also enjoyed the fact that the hotel has an incredible security....I rate it 10 out of 10...

Overall hotel was very good with excellent amenities, location, service etc. The only issue I had with the room is the noise level, not as soundproof as I would expect and could hear a lot of sound from the hallway.Be careful with the door to the room as they shut very quickly and I managed to lock myself out late in the night so I had to go to the clubroom wearing only my dressing gown to get a new key card.Thank God I put the dressing gown on...

One of the best hotels you can get in Bangkok combining a good rate with outstanding quality. Historic hotel and typical Thai style.

This hotel is ideally located adjacent to both the Skytrain & Subway, opposite Lumpini Park-the "lung" of Bangkok, and near by the night markets. Hotel staff were extremely helpful and polite. Breakfast was fabulous. We would definitely stay here again, when in Bangkok.

The Dusit Thani is now very much a business/corporate hotel and there is a "cold feeling" for tourists. I experienced a very similar attitude in the Dusit Resort in Cha Am-it is not a tourist friendly hotel. In fact my wife has the opinion that in these corporate type hotels, liason with customers is not encouraged and I have to agree. Other Hotels that I have stayed at in Thailand are far more tourist friendly. For this reason alone, I do not intend staying at a Dusit Hotel again.

We had breaifast at both Coffee Shop and Ii Ceilo (Italian Restaurant) whiich is next to 1918 Library. Both the service and food quality is excellent while the coffee shop is quite disappointed especially food quality. I think it is necessary for your hotel to look into the food quality at coffee shop. The room is reasonably spacious and amenties are good. Everything is quite all right but swimming pool is very small. The reception staff, check in staff and Conceige staff whom they are responsible to call taxi are very polite and service are excellent. They are not only friendly, but helpful as well. I did appreciate greatly. The Italian restaurant is excellent. We also tried Vietnamese Restaurant and food quality is not bad. However, the noodle is surprisingly and unexceptional small portion. It is totally unacceptable. For the other food, food portion and quality is good. Next to BTS train. Easily accesible to other places.

The room provided was in dire need of modernisation, especially the bathroom. The decor was extremely tired and outdated. The hotel has good facilities and is in an excellent location. The bell desk service was very poor. On checking out, I twice requested for a bellboy to collect luggage from the room but none attended and I had to take the luggage down myself. The standards of the hotel have declined considerably since my last stay there a year earlier.

I have stayed at many hotels in Bangkok and would rate this one of my best experiences. I wish they would train the cleaning staff what do not disturb means. They ring your room to get access if you post do not disturb. Every other aspect was very professional.

Large room with good quality of decor. Everyone was polite and attentive. Perfect for the Silom road area for shopping, eating and the Patpong district. Good hotel with high quality of room and service. Cheap for 5 star hotel

This only took 5 minutes, but I would have thought it would have been there anyway. The pool is a bit small, but there is nothing that can be done about that. I thought the refreshments in the Club lounge could be improved, but overall, the hotel is very good indeed. I hope to be back. I have tried the Banyan tree, which is cheaper for a similar room, but not so convenient.

A comfortable hotel which lived up to expectations. The best thing was the breakfast - variety and quality of food good - ambience and service excellent. The worst thing was the oppressive security connected with the hosting of the "Miss Universe" event. We had to go through airport type screening to get to our room - not what you expect when you have paid a premium for the Executive floor.

The Dusit name is big, but the hotel is way overrated -- I have visited several other 5-stars in Bangkok, most less expensive than the Dusit, and all far superior in style, in decor, and in service. They have a wing out in the back which has all the charm of a basic motel. If you must stay at this hotel, make sure that you are in the main building.
