This hotel is excellent value and is in a great location i.e close to river ferry pier and sky train. The deluxe rooms are definately of an excellent standard and are better than previous hotels I have stayed in i.e Bangkok Asia(smokey rooms) and Royal River Hotel(poor transport connections.)
A word of warning though-- I would not book with their travel service again as not only is it expensive but the guide who took us on the River Kwai and Tiger Temple Trip was a conman. It was not all his fault(his conning) as first he told us that we would have a beauitiful window seat on the train section ...

Our trip happened just after the riot that closed the airport for 7 days. At first, we were contemplating whether to go ahead with this trip or not as safety is a BIG question mark. We did the right thing to proceed as it was the best travelling time. The ourists enjoyed privileges by having better bargaining power.Bosotel, althought is not near the commercial area but it has very convenient transport options. Right in front of the hotel is a tuk-tuk stop where drivers hang out waiting for passengers. The staffs were really firnedly and speaks good English. They even upgraded my room...hehehe. Also, there is a few massage shops just next door that opens until midnight. I had a lot of fun shopping till most shops are closed and head towards my last stop at the massage shop before calling it a day.
Will surely be back for more.

Excellent hotel 5 mins walk from Skytrain and Chao Phrya ferry. Good for a base to see the city, not a resort hotel. But very clean, good breakfast helpful staff and 500 to 600 Bhat Taxi fare from the new airport. Will use again as a base in Bangkok again, where we have often visited before and this is the best value for money and good and clean hotel that we have used.

An average hotel - good breakfast, but had a few cockroaches in our room and the bathroom wasn't in very good condition. It's close to the riverboat which can take you into the heart of Bangkok for just 17 baht in around 15 minutes.

The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly. It is a bit worn on the edges, the hallways are not air-conditioned and you have to have your key in the door slot to get any a/c or light in your room so it takes a few minutes to cool down. But the breakfast was very good and for what we paid it was quite a nice experience. The absolute best thing about this hotel is the location. It is a block down from the Shangri-la, which helps taxi drivers if they do not know your hotel. Also you can walk just a few blocks to use the river taxi or Skyway which is so convenient. Lots of little shops, restaurants and massage parlors are at your doorstep. I would reccomend this hotel to anyone who is not in need of 5-star huge accomodations.

Very nice, smaller hotel. The hotel was clean and well kept, staff was very nice, and the buffet breakfast had lots of options. The location of this hotel is really great - near all the shopping, river, and lots of attractions.

Great location, close walking distance to the Skytrain and the river where we got on the ferry which takes you to various attractions. The room was very clean which for us is very important but it is very small and a bit run down, the room on the picture on the website looks better than in reality. Overall a good value for money though, I would stay here again. The room was very small and run down, but very clean. It had all the facilities you need on a leisure trip, internet, restaurant, room service, tour operator, but all quite basic. Staff was attentive.
No entertainment available, international tv channels very basic. Close to the river & the sky train, few shops around. 5 minutes walk to skytrain and taxis would generally find the hotel, if you inform them that it is near Shangri La.

The bed was hard and do not expect to take a hot shower, more like a luke warm one.
The Hotel is close to the trolley station, agood value at $40 Baths = $1.30 US.
It is also close to the River Taxi at $20 Baths.

The food there is very good. Location is close to both of central pier and skytrain station, and therefore very convenient for sight seeing to old town and shopping in Siam area. Room is big, bed is comfortable, but pillow is too high for me.

A great value for money hotel ideally placed for seeing the sights of Bangkok. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone who doesn't demand 4* pampering and appreciates good value. A good sized room with all necessary facilities and a good, clean bathroom. We didn't use the small pool or gym but they were there if needed. We arrived at 9.00 am and were allocated our room immediately with no fuss or extra charge. A packed breakfast was provided on our last day without question. Staff were freindly and obliging at all times.
We ate in the hotel twice because the food was great (typically Thai - not tourist junk) and really good value. the bar prices were also very reasonable. It was noticeable that visitors came to use the hotels restaurants too. Breakfasts were very good - equivalent to a much higher standard of hotel.
Ideally placed for the river and Skytrain or for Silom Rd with its many restaurants.

Bossotel is a reasonable priced hotel close to both Skytrain and the river. Nice and clean rooms, and very friendly and helpful staff. My only complaint is that the pool and poolarea is too small. It would have been better to cover up the little pool and make the area a sundeck, with a cooling shower in the corner.

Have no hassle in returning after late evening, nice quiet location with adequate ammenities nearby to keep grossly occupied without the much direct street hussle in most city hotels. Also have opportunity to reach some spots in Bangkok via boat transportation as it is in close proximity to the pier. Caution the floor-door gap, i can slip my shoes out. Or perhaps it is a Thai building safety requirement.

Excellent location walking distance to Skytrain station, market, grocery, department store,Silom, good restaurants and massage facilities.Quiet and safe environment with good tailoring shops and sidewalk stalls.I always stay at Bossotel Hotel whenever I'm in Bangkok and I recommend it to friends.Very reasonable hotel rates and excellent breakfast. There's a reliable and competent travel agency at the lobby that's open 12 hrs a day where one can book other tours in the city and other places in Thailand. User-friendly Internet facilities at very reasonable prices. Service is excellent and efficient. Staff very friendly and competent.

A word of warning though-- I would not book with their travel service again as not only is it expensive but the guide who took us on the River Kwai and Tiger Temple Trip was a conman. It was not all his fault(his conning) as first he told us that we would have a beauitiful window seat on the train section but it was standing room only for all involved. Then he tried to con one couple who had only booked half a day to wait at an elephant ride area whilst the rest of us went to the Tiger Temple. The elephant area was very hot and dusty and not a good place to wait. Then he tried to rush us from the Tiger Temple to get us back to Bangkok. When we got back to Bangkok it was a stop (with con-drink) at an expensive shop setup with a big band of welcoming Thai women who were trying to persuade us to buy their expensive gems, silks, crafts and other goods. It was basically a big con to get us to buy and for our guide to get a commission. We arrived back at 5.00 pm and all of our group 'jacked up' and asked to been transported back to our hotels. However everyone was resplit up into small vans supposedly to make transport around Bangkok Hotels more efficient. We still hadn't reached our hotel by 7.00 p.m a

Bossotel is in excellent location close to the Skytrain and express ferry which is easy and cheap to use. The breakfast at the Bossotel was the best we had on our travels through Thailand and starts early at 6.30am till 10.30am which is good for the trips which usus-ally start very early in Bangkok. The staff were efficient and dealt with a small leak in our room within 10 minutes, although not that friendly. We were lucky that our room had patio doors straight onto the pool which we used each day after an exhausting day in Bangkok. We were more than pleased with the hotel and would definitely recommend it and would certainly use it again. Be careful of the taxi drivers outside the hotel, they will not put the meter on and overcharge grossly. Walk to the main road (only 50 metres) and stop one.

I stayed with my 2 teenage kids for 3 nights, Dec 2007 I found the hotel very good value for the money. our bathroom needed a make over, we stayed on the 7 floor so the water preassure was no good - the hot water kept changing temprature all the time , so you needed to fiddle with it while trying to have a shower- other than that the room was ok.
The pool was small but good enough to have a swim, the gym right next to it - very handy I thought , there was also a shower by the gym.
the breakfast was very good , plenty of choices and the staff very helpful. a very good tour desk for all the places you may want to visit - the location of the hotel can be a bit daunting, but after 1 day much easier, a 3 minute walk will take you right down to the river and a ferry terminal, there is a hair saloon right out side, and ofcourse a massage place, easy to get a taxi or a tuk tuk and only 5 min away to the night market> however remember to allways bring a hotel business card with you to show the tuk tuk driver when returning" they don't allways seem to know"
We would come back again

quite far away from the airport and the taxi drive charged us 560 Ba (when we returned to the airport, we find a taxi driver who only charged us 360 Ba). the only strength of the location is it's close to a pier from which you can rent a private boat. but the price is higher than others. By the way, I do not recommend the boat tour at all along the canel, does not worth the money at all...the room is small, with simple facilities, and a little bit noisy. the food is quite good, at least.

Good location close to both the Sky train (BTS) and the Express River boats pier (Tha Nathorn) which can take you for a few pennies all the way until the end boat station on the Chao Praya river (1 1/2 hour one way trip). Staff very friendly and all speak good English. The restaurant is small and looks like a small coffee bar but the food is excellent. The breakfast buffet is in line with a 4 star hotel: lots of choices and variety from day to day. The internet is cheap compared to other hotels: minimum 80 THB for 1 hour but you may use your allocation on different occasions. Good value for the money.

The staff attitude was totally indifferent. I was offended by the bell-man who offered me a massage girl on the way to my room! The swimming pool and health club are a joke. Two broken machines, and 3 couches around the pool. The food was fine, but the dinning room was completely unattractive. This hotel is not a good value.

The hotel is old and not well maintained. The room was small, basic but adequate. The bathroom had mould on the tiles, but this seems to be the norm. Staff are friendly and try to be helpful but communication does present a problem as their English is very limited. I found the food to be plentiful, of excellent quality, with plenty of variety and reasonably priced. The area is a little "seedy", but this is also par for the course. The hotel is a 200 baht taxi ride from the airport. For first time travellers, the green and yellow cabs are owner driven. Always ensure that the meter is turned on and if you have any concern, get another cab.
