The Bangkok Palace Hotel, is an excellent choice for both businesspersons and tourists visiting the capital of Thailand. The rooms and suites were all renovated in the early 2000s. The menu in the onsite restaurant has been updated to cater to the tastes of hotel guests.

1. Can't fathom why guests need to pay for hot water to be delivered to the room - there should be kettle jugs in the room
2. THe racks in bathroom dropped when I tried to hang my towel over it.
3. Staff & food was generally ok.

I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. The worst thing that I could ever dream of was being bitten by bed bugs!!! The hotel was also infested with mosquitoes. I was bitten by mosquitoes at the hotel lounge and bitten by bed bugs while asleep in my room. The aircon was noisy and not strong enough. Several times, I woke up feeling hot in the middle of the night. There was also one incident when I came back to my hotel from the flea market at 2pm, my room was still not tidied up. My sis went to alert the housekeeper who was doing housekeeping at some other room. Guess what she saw... the housekeeper was busy messaging with her handphone while tidying up the room... I now know why my room was still not tidied up after 2pm... the bed bugs were a bad experience which kept me awake and itched all night.. No more bangkok palace for me!!..

the hotel has long history, that is why its location is perfect and facilities are poor. Hard to find difference between the normal room and deluxe room. The service and quality of food is pretty good, but the surroundings and transportation is poor. It is much due to the traffic conditions in Bangkok. Some taxi drivers are always wandering around hotel, they never forget asking the incredible price to the guests in the hotel. In total, for short stay, here is ok because of so close to the city centre.

It's at the heart of bangkok; we can go to shopping malls on foot. Taxi service is not enough; tour desk & business centre provides excellent assistance.

There are many travel agents around there and it's easy to get the food, just too far from the skytrain station.

The Deluxe room I was checked into was located on a low floor which the room next to it is under renovation. When I requested to change room, the hotel front desk showed displeasure. I had to carry my heavy luggage and perform the change of room by myself. Air condition is lousy and not powerful. Location is not near sky train. Alley is dark.
In the changed room, the sheets in the room has spots on them. The towels are old and has dirt on them. Money (AUD200.00) was stolen from my wallet, in my handbag when I was out of the room. I had put a "Do Not Disturb" sign when I was out of the room, but apparently some came into the room and stole some money from my wallet. Hotel staff has yet to give me the results of their investigation on the lost of money.

The name sounds very historic. Thats it. When it comes to room.arrangements or services, guests are not important to them. The bed, curtain, inroom services, etc are quite old. Every bit of the room stinks. I made a great mistake of booking this hotel. I asked for a queen size bed they said the room has one, i reached the room and found that there was a double cot, finally i asked them arrange and put together, they did not, finally i end up in doing it, this is just an sample. Must take your own blanket.

I was quite disappointed with the service right from checkin to check out. The staff tries to be friendly but all they are concerned was about the money & nothing else. When you book a deluxe room they give you a standard room & send a coffee making facility & say that the only difference between a Standard & a deluke room apart from the huge price difference.
