We were super lucky, as the 'level' of room we'd requested wasn't available. As a result, we were upgraded to one of the 'sky level' (68th floor) rooms. What a view! The view from our room on the 68th floor was much better than anything on tv. After travelling for a month, the luxury of a bathtub felt almost decadent! If there wasn't a taxi immediately available, a hotel staffer flagged one. Even when we left for the airport at 4 am there was no wait at all. ...

Overall a nice hotel, however for a tourist wasn’t the best location. Not close to the sky rail. Breakfast was brilliant big variety, beautiful pool and good 360 views from the top

Right smack in the centre of good food and the wholesale area. Staff are generally friendly but was disappointed with the top floor bar. Looks like a street pub. The band hired had no live(suppose to be a live band), It would have been better with piped in music.

we stayed in baiyoke sky last mar5 to 9, deluxe room good for 3pax. room was big, it has 1 king sized bed and 1 extra bed, can even accomodate 4 pax. we had free fruit buffet which we all enjoyed. they have shuttle service going to MBK area only, you have to take a cab going back the hotel. the location is within the market area - traffic everywhere but manageable. overall the hotel itself was worth staying. recommendable.

Great service! I was being offered a junior suite in the sky zone (with no extra charge!) because the staff couldn't locate a non-smoking room as I've requested earlier on.. View was wonderful, air-con was great, with sufficient comfy pillows and blanket sheets provided.. Bathing robe, slippers, hair-dryer was provided as well... my stay was wonderful! Will definitely return to Baiyoke Sky in the next visit to Bangkok!!

The hotel itself is an attraction. We stood there only for stop over, but as the shopping and entertainment (eg. Aquarium in Siam Paragon Center) is rather close, I could imagine, its good place to stay even longer. Facilities are clean, staff friendly and speaking good english.

The hotel room which i have stayed - Deluxe Standard Suite to my great surprise is full of cockroaches and this happens to our relative's room at the same 22nd level, this is the most unsatisfactory factor. And the cockroaches even found on the bed ?

Yes my family and I enjoyed staying at the Baiyoke Sky Hotel. The view from the hotel room was fantastic, they hotel staff were very nice, the rooms were nice and clean and prices were reasonable. Yes I would recommend this hotel and the location was good. It was close to the Pratunam Markets, things were very cheap. Everything was easy to book on line, communication was good from hotel travel and the hotel turned out to be great.

At the beginning of our arrival we had a big smile and so joyed to come to bangkok and stay at the tallest tower, but soon that smile fades when we were being treated like beggars, the hospitality and the service is so bad that i wouldn't recommend anyone to stay there, i even wrote a letter to the manager notifying this. Aside from that the room was big, but the carpet was dirty, the tv was too small. But the best shopping area anyone could ever want.

Though the hotel is not close to any BTS, the wholesale centre is just next to the hotel. That makes me a happy shopper. Getting taxi is a breeze but when it rains, transport can be a major problem getting to and out of the hotel. It would be good for the hotel to offer shuttle service to and from the airport. Overall, it is a value for money hotel with spacious room and splendid views of the city.

I had a wonderful stay at Baiyoke Sky Hotel with my friends for 5 nights. The hotel rate is reasonable and i feel that it is value for money. There is a wide spread of choices for breakfast too. My friends and i LOVE the Tom Yum Soup ordered from the room service. (We later realised that the Tom Yum Soup we had earlier actually won 1st award from International Competition.) Shopping centres like Platium Mall and Central World, 4-Face Buddha and makan areas are all within walking distance. Overall, all of us have a very pleasant stays in the hotel.

I'm staying in a Superior Standard Room. The room that I stayed in is clean & noise level is low. I like it. And you must try the Buffet Spread at 77th floor. Hotel guests will have a 50% discount for dining there. Many varieties of food are available. At just $370 bahts, it's very worth the price paying for. But the only dislike is the rate for internet surfing. The charges is at 600 Bahts for 24hrs surfing. Sounds quite cheap, but actually not so. The charging starts when you first log-in and the counter will continue to count till it end at 24hrs, whether you used it or not. So it's not really worth the price unless you wanna spent all 24hrs in the room surfing.

Very excited. I'm stay at Baiyoke Sky Hotel with two friend (triple occupancy) and have big room at 46 level. Amazing city view from wide window. Comfortable bed, roomy and good air condition. Very big room, new furnished. Surprised: we watch TV channel from our local station country. Breakfast is very good, complete, delicious in many choice of food, at level with sky view: at 77 level. Near from market place and shopping, easy to get a taxi or tuk tuk.All driver is know location. Well... overall, we satisfied and recommend everyone to come an stay in Baiyoke Sky Hotel Bangkok.

I've stayed at many hotels in BKK before and partner and I thought we would give the Baiyoke Sky a try.The room was large and had amazing views from our 71st floor room. However, it smelled of cigarette smoke (even thought we had requested non smoking) but was functional and clean. If you are after a fantastic view over Bangkok and don't care about quality of service in general, from front desk to housekeeping that was completely hit and miss, or how outdated the rooms and furnishings are, then go for it. I also wanted to warn those considering this hotel that they hold fruit buffets at certain times of the year and the speciality is, you guessed it, Durian. The whole lobby stank of Durian for the entire duration of our 4 day stay. We have since stayed at other hotels that we are happy with.

There was a awful stench coming from the drainage in the bathroom. It was quite unpleasant. Other than that, it was quite ok staying at the hotel. I would think it looks more like a better 3 star hotel. More catered to Mass market.

overall rating: hotel is a good place to stay except for hotel service. For instance, the shuttle van service- we were told to get priority numbers so we could have a seat in the shuttle but to our dismay the shuttle just accepted guests without priority numbers. we were so vexed because our 30 minute wait for the shuttle was useless. another disappointing issue is when my son had his lunch at the sky hotel on the 18th floor. the waiter didn't ask him if he was a hotel guest so he wasn't given a discount on his bill.

Great location, near shopping area etc. A buffet on the 77th floor is always a thrill. The restaurant on the lobby floor was also very good. The maid/cleaning service was excellent. The negatives: The room was big, but very old. Desperately need renovation. The people in the lobby did not welcome us with a single smile and I saw other have discussions/disagreements with the staff often. So customer service/treatment is due for a big upgrade. All in all a good experience with some disappointments re: room standard and customer friendliness.

Actually this is my 2nd visit to Baiyoke sky Hotel, the last time I went was last September 2007 - which was a offsite trip from my company. My sister initially wanted to put up at the hotel which she used to stay but I managed to convince her to stay at Baiyoke Sky instead. After staying there for 5 days, my sister shared with me that Baiyoke Sky hotel will be her 1st choice if she's going to Bangkok again. =D

we stay on the 51st floor for 2 rooms but later we request for connecting rooms the manager without waiting upgrade to 56th floor for us without paying extra excellent service i should say. the view is very nice from the highest floor, some tourists bought tickets just to view from the highest floor in this hotel, location is good with many small shops and night market however trafic is a bit jam at times. luckily the time taken to the airport takes about 30 minutes as the the airport is nearer compared to the old airport.

The Hotel is very good. Very helpfull staff. Well maintained rooms. Breakfast has very large variety and is on the 78th floor. The lobby is on the 18th floor. The entrance or the hotel looks like a cheap 3rd grade hotel which is located in the middle of a full fledged market. Very busy area. A big put off when you reach the hotel. However once you enter the lobby on the 18th floor you are will feel relieved. The markets have their advantage because the mail shopping markets are located in and around the hotel just a few minutes walk. Free Hourly Shuttle service to (near) the famous MBK Mall. Taxis are available full time at the entrance. But the hotel staff seems to have some setting with the taxi guys and they charge you more than twice what it should be. I recommend walking to the main road and catch a taxi and tell them to go by the meter. If the taxi guy tells you he will take you in 30 baths it means he is going to take you to an exhibition or a shop where you have to spend 10 mins looking stuff there and he gets a free 5 liter coupon for fuel. Coming back to the hotel. It is worth the stay. The rooms and bathrooms are fully equipped and the rates of the drinks in the room are nominal (just 5 baths above the market rate). Overall the hotel is very good except for the location that is in the main market area.

Hotel was good and decent once you enter the lobby. Outside the hotel is like a fish market, something that people on a holiday or leisure wouldnt prefer. It is in the center of the pratunam shopping area so shopping is very convenient. But it is far from MBK and other popular shopping center. However they have a free drop service to Sien Center which is 5 mins away from MBK. Hotel Quality is very Good. Rooms are also very good. Breakfast is large variety. Taxis from below the hotel loot. They seem to have a tie-up with the bell boys which is very dissapointing. I always walked to the main road and caught a cab from there. Always go by the meter. Its very cheap by the meter (most cabies dont like it by the meter). Over all i would its a good hotel in a very crampy and busy area. We stayed in superior rooms which were big and nice. In the Skyzone many rooms have no windows but instead the whole wall is glass giving a whole view of the city from the bed!. My friends stayed in the sky zone and they described it as an amazing view.

Tallest building in Bongkok and good breakfast at 76th/78th floor. The room is good, clean. But the location is little bit pity. Seems near the world trade center but need to walk 15 mins. By Tuk Tuk not easy because it's one-way road.

Excellent view point. Easily can get taxi, a bit far from Sky Train currently but new train station will be near the hotel soon. Interior decoration is fair. The room is so clean and quiet. The Best feature of this Hotel is that it is the Highest Building in Thailand (to enjoy the view at 77 floor with the morning Buffet) and close to the best shopping in town ( What you stay in Bangkok for) i.e. Platinum, Pratunam and Indira Square are within 2 to 10 mins walk from the Hotel. Food is good with the added advantage of getting Vegetarian food including Indian everyday. Hotel staff is very friendly and is willing to help you in whatever way possible. I thought internet was far too expensive as they charge 300 Bhat for 30 mins which is usable only one time. So pretty much it is 300 Bhat as the minimum that you spend on the internet. Please be aware if you want to travel within Bangkok being the bussiest place in town traffic is not that good. If you are an early bird like me then finding a taxi and beating the traffic is no problem. I would still suggest take a motorbike/taxi to the nearest station for the skytrain as I just love the convenience and the service of the trains in Bangkok. I would still rate this hotel as 8/10. Value for money paid.

We were upgraded to a suite free of charge when we requested different beds to the ones available in our original booking. Views of Bangkok from the rooms and the viewing areas are fantastic when the weather permits. We spent Christmas at the hotel and the staff really went out of thier way to bring some Christmas cheer to the hotel. On the downside, access to the hotel is very poor. It is located in a busy market area and we often had to compete with tourists, who dont stay at the hotel, to get the lift to the lobby from the ground floor. The viewing platform and resteraunts give an excellent view that attracts bus loads of non guest sightseers. Hotel guests are also charged to access viewing areas, which I think is a bit over the top.

This was my first stay at Baiyoke sky and I was a little skeptical after reading mixed reviews on it. Upon reaching the hotel at about 2pm, I was disappoined that though such a big hotel, the reception desk is very short-handed, with only 3 people serving the check-in coutners. We were made to wait for 45min for the room to be ready(isn't it supposed to be ready when we checked in?), and it was delayed by a further 15min. The lift was quite fast actually, the only slower one was the lift from the ground floor to the hotel lobby. The room (level 35) was big, though it could have been better furnished, and the tv was an old crt tele with very limited channels. It was clean and tidy. As for breakfast, there is a wide variety of international food available, and the view from level 82 is really breathtaking. The hotel location is very good, with the wholesale centres literally just at your doorstep, and bigger shopping centres within 15-20min walking distance. On the whole, I would say it was a good stay.

We have been staying at a hotel near MBK in the last few years and Baiyoke at the Pratunam area is indeed a refreshing change. Lots to see within walking distance, even though Baiyoke is not near the Skytrain. The junior suite is extremely spacious, pity there is only one sink. The hotel buffets are great value for money!

I'm not sure what the other reviewers are on about. The Baiyoke Sky is clean, the staff is friendly and the rooms are excellent value. Nice buffet breakfast on 76th floor included as well. I'd stay there again with no concerns.

Great hotel location for shopping convinence at Pratuman. Since my wife arrived the night before I did with our children the hotel gave her the wrong room. It was much smaller than the room we paid for and it was a nonsmoking room when we had requested smoking, However they did change the room once we told them of their mistake. Room was not the most modern as fara decorations. (Needs a renovation badly.) There were ants everywhere in the bathroom sink area. The view of the city is very nice though. Remote for TV was not always working and I don't think it was caused by weak batteries. Breakfast buffet was always very crowded. I don't think that we will be staying here anytime in the near future. Appears you pay for the novelty of being the tallest hotel in Bangkok as there are many other hotels with just as nice or nicer rooms for the same cost or much cheaper.

Thumbs Down Given that modern technologies has ensures that broadband prices has dropped tremedously low, it is inconceivable that consumers still have to pay to use internet services within the room. At USD80, surely the hotel can easily afford to package it together. I have read of past reviews before of choked sinks in the toilets within the hotel rooms and I must say I am dismayed to experience the same thing! I wonder if this review is going to be reflected as feedback to the hotel managment. The toiletries are also puzzlingly incomplete. There are kits for cleaning your ears but there are no disposable shaver and comb which I am sure rate as more essential items. Thumbs Up. The overall services that the hotel staffs are good, present plesant personalities and able to attend to my enquiires and give solutions promptly and always with a smile. The only blemish I had experienced with the staffs is at the monring buffet breakfast when I had to find myself a seat wondering if I should get a seat first or get the food first. There were lots of people and there were no attendent in sight to guide anyone to the tables. The situation was quite annoying for someone travelling alone as there was no unoccupied table left and I had to ask others if they were willing to share their tables with me.

I really enjoyed staying here. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. They will greet customers and open the door for us or even serve us to elevators. The buffet breakfast was normal but the Crystal Grill Restaurant does offer a nice buffet dinner. It is easy to get to public transport and there are markets around the area. And, the hotel also offers customers taxi transfer to airport with a cheap price (even when it's 4am in the morning, so convenient). To summarize, this is a hotel that impressed me. I would definitely stay here again if I go to Bangkok next time.

The staff were excellent in their service. Location is good except that it is no where near the BTS. But rooms are big and clean, and offers a great place to rest after a long day of shopping. The American breakfast can be improved though. But overall an excellent hotel to stay in..

You really are paying for the "gimic" of being in Thailand's tallest hotel. Otherwise the standard of the rooms is very average. Hotel staff were very helpful. This is a very busy hotel, and you will need lots of time to wait around for lifts, getting jostled around by tourists en-mass in the process. Unless you desire to stay in a sky-scraper, I'd stay elsewhere. Why... it's just too busy!!

Good location, close to shopping malls, many road side stalls and markets around area. Rooms have superb view and are very large. Average main meals in hotel are around 130 bhtm each. Taxi should cost about 250 bht from airport (depends on traffic)+ 45 +15 bht toll both charges. Make the taxi put meter on though. Good breakfast. Great view form top floor of city.

The front desk staff did made initiative to upgrade us to a suite room when available which is very please and excellent.Mostly all staffs in BaiYoke Sky are very friendly except a few who give attitude. Example, me and my hubby intend to have dinner at the buffet sky roof but would like to see what varieties they are serving before we proceed so we approached the usher and she gave us a cold shoulder after we told her we'll considered. That's a very bad customer service attitude. However, overall everything still consider quite fine.

The Baiyoke Sky staff were friendly and efficient during the check-in and check-out process. The whole process was accomplished speedily, with a minimum of fuss. The rooms are exceptionally large, in fact the bathroom was almost as big as some hotel rooms I have stayed in! There were always plenty of staff on hand to point out the correct lifts, for instance when going for breakfast on the 76/78th floors, which is an experience in itself. We held my daughter's birthday dinner in the restaurant and the sight of her being serenaded by the wandering band was something to behold. This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel and I can't wait to book for the third.

A big, very busy hotel. At times the staff are overwhelmed with the number of guests. Rooms are reasonable but all other facilities are stretched by the numbers of people. Not a relaxing place to stay, I will not use this hotel again.

The size of the rooms was impressive and it was a great room to have lots of people in for a family holiday, business meeting or a party. However it did not have the ambience of a hotel where you would go for a romantic weekend with your partner.

We enjoyed our stay at the Baiyoke Sky very much. The hotel is located in the garment district, which is good for shopping, but you have to take a taxi to get to any tourist sites.
