The reasonably priced Avana Hotel is located about 15.5 miles (25kms) from the international airport and seven miles (11kms) from a main shopping area. The Avana has an outdoor swimming pool, fitness centre, sauna, massage and beauty salon and karaoke facility. Several supporting business facilities are catered for as well. The hotel features a café and restaurant which looks out over the pool. All of the rooms are neat and sufficiently equipped.

was on my way to breakfast when a person followed me into the lift and made very unpleasant gestures. found that pretty sickening.the room was good. tv, bathroom, good sized bed, no complaints.
some of the staff were very helpful but others were not as polite.
internet available was very slow and did not inform you of time left.
overall i was happy with the room, but not a lot else.

Avana is close to Bitec (the Motor Show, when we were there and it was a suprise) The rooms were pretty good although the Air Con was not working satisfactorily when we arrived but they attended to it promptly. The carpet needs replacing ,but the rooms were spacious clean and pretty well appointed. I think Avana is about half way between the Airport and City. Taxis are reasonable and kept appointments... We asked for a 4 am wake up call ( Three Rooms )
We got ZERO wake up call/s. Nearly missed our flight back to Canada.
Could not shower / shave etc. due to time.
We found two other couples at reception that as well DID NOT GET A WAKE UP CALL.
UNACCEPTABLE....I/We will NOT Be staying there again!!

The breakfast was more towards Asia and not amercan as stated no cereals only poached egg plus sliced bread for toast no rolls. Room smelt of stale tobacco.but at the price could not expect any thing else. I stayed only as stop over for one night and would not have wanted any longer.

Rooms are good, bathrooms need some work, old and worn. Not as close to the airport as mentioned, took a long time due to traffic. I would rather stay around Rachadapisek road.

Bathroom wasn't in such good condition or very clean. "Shower holder" was not properly attached, it was coming off the wall. Bed and the sheets seemed like they haven't been changed after previous guest. Due to our early flight we asked have our breakfast with us. Well, it was water and a sandwich. Juice and a yogurt would've been nice and fair. Good location and good pool. Also the gym seemed decent and practical. During our check in the personnel was polite and professional. Early next morning two young guys weren't apparently been working for so long...

A very nice hotel and well worth the money! A little removed from shopping. About 30km from the new airport. What's exceptional about the Avana Hotel, is that it is large with all amenities, and an exceptional staff - very kind and very helpful. New carpeting, furniture could be a little bit cleaner, but not really complaning. You don't really need to leave the hotel grounds, even has a mini-mart! Service excellent, especially the folks at the restaurant.
Just a bit far from shopping. Hotel staff was great and quick to call taxi's and helped load our luggage.
The only thing we would like to see improved on, is keeping the breakfast buffet hot. The food was great at the buffet, but too cold, even at the beginning of the buffet. It would be great if they could include one or two microwave ovens for guests to heat up their food.
But all in all it is a great hotel!, and for those interested, it is run by Christians. We stayed here on our arrival to Thailand, and again on our departure, and will definitely stay here again!

I guess this is the closest place to the airport you can stay without staying at the overpriced Novotel. If you need a place to rest before a flight the next day, this hotel will serve your purpose. Not a place for a long stay.
