Surrounding this hotel are shopping centers and short walk to Erawan Shrine.
The Front Desk service personnel were not very friendly. We checked in early and was told that our rooms will be ready at 2pm. However, when we went back at 200pm, we were told to wait another half an hr as the room was still not ready. We waited till 3pm and were told that the rooms were still not ready. They did not offer to check whether there are any available rooms and after some "haggling", they "upgrade" us to their superior room. They shld tried to find alternate rooms for us rather than let us wait.
Breakfast was good with a wide selection of food.

Front desk staff not very friendly and our rooms were not ready even at 3pm after been told by the front office desk to come back by 2pm.
We need to tell them that we cld not wait around the lobby anymore before they decide to upgrade us and let us have our rooms on another floor.
They shld have better planning and able to make guest comfortable without making them wait unnecessarily.

I liked the location most, centrally located with the skytrain nearby and shopping centers within walking distance. The food at the hotal restaurant was excellent, good cooks. Internet connection should be free of charge, TV outmoded and there should be more TV channels available and especially for children, all in all staff were very friendly and helpfull. Would consider staying at the same hotel the next time.

Regular rooms were tired and worn; we moved to executive floor, where our room was the same size, but with newer equipment.
Elevator no. 3 broke down with my wife and myself trapped inside. It took 45 minutes to free us. Duty manager affirmed that he had elevator maintenance records, but upon being asked for them for the third time, he confessed that the hotel does not have such records. Breakfast was quite good, especially the bread selection, but hot foods, with the exception of eggs cooked to order, was of unacceptable quality.Location of the Arnoma is its trump card.

The Arnoma represents by far the best value for money for hotels in this area of the city, close to shops, cinemas and a short taxi ride from the sights.
The staff are invaribaly helpful and cheerful - and the security personnel are discreet but highly effective which is a comfort to travellers who may be nervous. The concierge is informative and keen to show tourists the sights of his city while telling them how to avoid the many tricksters.The rooms are pleasant and well appointed - although with a slightly musty smell. However the light control consoles beside the bed are showing signs of age.This was our 8th stay at the Arnoma and we will certainly be coming back next year.

The hotel is quite big but any visitor can access the floors where are rooms (no access card system in the lifts), that is probably the reason why a staff is permanently present on the ground floor in front of the lifts. The restaurant for breakfast is very noisy and crowded. Furnitures in the room are quite old. All the lights can be lighten up & turned off only from one side of the bed: some of the buttons are broken, what is writen cannot be read because it is located too low near the floor witout enough light

The hotel staff are very helpful. They recommended greaet places to visit. The tours available at the tour desk are a bit overpriced but were worth it.
The room was good. Furnitures were okay. The bathroom was clean. It had a weighing scale which was very helpful in determining the weight of our luggage. It is unusual that twin beds are arranged as a king-sized bed.
The hotel had three computers that guests may use. But I have to pay for a prepaid internet card. The attendants were very helpful.
It is really 10-15 minutes from the train station. Across the street is the Central World Plaza which is a high-end mall.

The hotel staff does not speak good english and not helpful. The bathroom of the hotel did not include toothbrush set, when I called to HSKP, I was surprised that that will be a charge of 5 babt of each toothbrush. The checkin process was too slow and took us more than 30 mins standing there, the deluxe rooms were not even make ready for us. We book 3 superior and 1 deluxe but found that both rooms are the same but on different floors. Actually this was my 2nd time staying at Aroma Hotel. I find the service is not as good as before. I was rather disappointed because the lady who asigned the room to us did not tell us they would put an additional bed only and there were no tooth brush, tooth paste and shampoo until we asked for them. The hotel is convenient located in the central of major shopping centre. Pay a bit more for convenient. During our stayed, they do provide staffs to assist the guests to take the lift. They always smile and greet you when the door opened. The chamber maid provide a better cleaning than the chamber guy. So if your room is make up by a guy. He may forget a few details. So watch out!!!! The facilites for gym and swimming pools is not that impressive. Quite outdated...

Arnoma is now showing its age. A musty smell greeted me as I entered the room which coloured my view of the place thereon in. The fittings are quite good but old. In short the place is well overdue a refurbishment. I've also had far better meals from 10 baht street side food sellers than the room service fare. Intternational phone calls are particularly steep. On the plus side the staff were friendly and efficient and the hotel is well located in the middle of a prime shopping area. One good final point is the staff give you a card with the taxi number on it when you leave, you may just need it.

I have been staying in this hotel for 5 -6 times, I must said the staff are friendly but I see no inprovement on the standard of the breakfast buffet. The taste of asian food especially the fried rice & bee hoon are tasteless. Hope the next time when I visit them the standard will improve. Also like to highlight on the taxi service, may I guess the concierge to ensure that the taxi driver on their meter before leaving the hotel. I am a frequent traveller to Bangkok, staying there about 4 times per year. Arnoma, while handy to the BTS Skytrain and the Platinum Fashion Mall is a tired hotel. The rooms are small and the TV, dryer, etc. old and run down. Rooms were clean and bathroom was fine. This really is a 3 star hotel. Dining rooms are small (all of them). Things are crowded at breakfast. It is worth booking an executive room so that you can have breakfast on Level 21 - which is restricted to executive customers. To get to that dining room you have to enter the business centre and turn left. If you booked a standard room be prepared to wait for breakfast on the ground floor or level 2.
Why you would stay here: Location and price.
Why you might not want to stay here: The rooms really are small, and I had a room on the executive floor. Dining rooms are crowded and very busy at breakfast. Weekend checkin or checkout is a disaster.

Friendly & helpful staffs especially the doorman and liftman. However the taxi driver's attitude are not so friendly and they also demand high taxi fare which is way beyond the standard charges. There is also room for improvement on breakfast as the fried rice and noodle are tasteless.

This hotel is excellent value for money, being in one of the most central areas of Bangkok. two items caught our attention in particular:
i) Security - this was discreet and effective; in our five stays at the Arnoma we have never witnessed any incident. The care taken when guests use a taxi is also reassuring ii) The concierge is very friendly and knowledegable and the courtesy of staff in general is a pleasure

It's my second stay at this hotel and what brought me back was essentially the location. It is right next to the Naraiphand handicraft centre (which is right next to Gaysorn and a BTR station essentially). There is also a Carrefour of sorts on the immediate right... in short, it is surrounded by malls and all amenities are a stone's throw away. The hotel seems older due to the poor maintenance but the room amenities are not lacking, there is even coffee, tea and a mini-kettle provided. If you are looking for a hotel with a good location but still need it to be relatively affordable, Arnoma's your bet.

We like Arnoma hotel beacuse it has a very good location close to everything, shopping(Panthip plaza, Pratunam market, Central World), skytrain and therefore easy to get to if you visit other areas in Bangkok. And the hotel is very great, good food, service everything...

Reception not very friendly. When ask if we could have additional Keycard since I book a room for triple sharing, her answer was a straight no and she proceed with picking up the phone as if someone is calling and ignore my plead totally. Good tactic but very unacceptable. Since we booked for a room for triple sharing with request made 2 weeks earlier to have 3 single beds, it was not done prior to our arrival. This does not really inconvenience us since we are already very excited about going out for shopping but to our disappointment, after the reminder upon checking in, it was still not done when we came back from shopping which is already 11pm. Other than that, we are certainly happy with the location. The hotel price is a little pricy because the hotel looks old. Even the the safe deposit box is the key and lock type and not computerised.

The Arnoma is excellently located in Bangkok. It is close to the major shopping areas and is within a few minutes walk of both lines of the Skytrain and excellent way to avoid the traffic congestion of Bangkok. We stayed in the Arnoma two years ago also and standards we were glad to see have been maintained. We would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel to friends.
