The location is perfect, right smack in the middle of Ximending, the hippest fashion district in Taipei. The subway is a 2 minutes' walk away and shopping is practically at your doorstep. Rainbow hotel is located right at the centre of Ximending. Its a good place for shoppers though. It's definitely value for $$, but you pay for what you get.. the furniture as compared with what was seen online is quite different. You will find that the pictures online looks much much more new and clean.

Well, hotel is in the heart of ximending. Wonderful location. On weekends, u can see huge crowds in the area. hotel very near to the mrt station. Transport is very convenient. The service of the staffs are very good and they are super super friendly. They will do their best to asist you if u have any questions or need any help about going a certain place.Great hotel. They will tell you where are best places that provide good prices to get local goods.The only negative thing is there is no iron provided even if u request for one. U will have to pass ur clothes to the staff and they will send it to the luandry shop for u for NT400. This is the first time i stay in a hotel that do not provide guests with an iron in the room or with the housekeeping.

Hotel was located at the heart of XMD where the 7-11 is just opposite and many shops are surrounding the hotel which makes a good spot! Staff were very friendly but however i find the manager kinda unfriendly. Cleaners clean up the room without fail but we put a sign " Do not disturb" but they still went in to clean up. It's near mrt station and infact from XMD to other locations is not that far. Room size is really small but if you can arrange ur stuff , the room size is actually quite ok. But i will request for a superior or deluxe in the next trip! Toilet is big but I feel that if the toilet can be a little smaller , the room will be bigger. Anyway, we dun stay for long hours awake in the room so thats still acceptable.

The location has got to be a big WOW. I love where it is situated, right in the middle of Ximenting and its very near the train station.The rooms are actually quite clean and nice. I enjoyed my stay there. Only minus for it is that it is quite small.

The location is at the central of the ximending; a good location where all the shops are nearby. It is quite noisy in late night where you could hear police petrol car pass by (maybe i was at low level). Overall, the hotel is ok but the building fixtures are a bit old.

Good location and easy access to XiMen MRT. You wouldnt go hungry or bored staying at that area. Shopping malls, restaurants, the famous "Ah Zhong Mee Suan" and "Mister Donut" are all walking distance from the hotel. The only bad thing is that the rooms are not very well maintain. You can tell that their staffs seriously can't be bother with their housekeeping.

The location is what I like best of Rainbow hotel. It is right at the middle of Xi Men Ding. However, I didn't expect the bathroom to have a standing shower instead of a bathtub. I hope that I can have a bathroom with bathtub. I heard from my Taiwan friend that most of her friends who stayed in Rainbow got bathtub in their rooms. I wonder if it's the room type or because I am just plain unlucky. The concierge is very friendly towards giving directions to go to various places we want to go. The chambemaid does her job well. Well done!
In general, for convenience sake, I will go back to Rainbow hotel. But the next time round, bathtub please.

The location was just great. The room was pretty quiet, and of ample size for a couple. The room was clean, and the staff very helpful even though they could not speak much English. The only down side was the bed - the mattress was as hard as a rock. Despite that, I would stay there again - using the doonah, and a blanket under the bottom sheet made it more comfortable.

You can't expect much where the hotel location is good and staffs are helpful and most of all the rate is reasonably fair. However, there are one thing that makes the room imperfect, it is the shower curtain. It was dirty and full of mould. For hygiene wise, please get it change.

An excellent & convenient location with some nice cafes that operate till almost midnight. The hotel name of "Rainbow" is wrongly translated from Chinese though. Instead of "Cai-Hong" (ie rainbow), the actual name is "Chang-Hong".

The room is not big but it's worth the money. Clean and comfortable. Do not expect 5 Star hotel treatment but does meet the basic expectation. It's at the centre of XiMen Ding which is one of the most happening places in Taipei. Very accesible and near to the MRT (public tranport). It's also very near to the famous Ah Chong Mian Sian and the Beef Noodles. Very convenient as there's shop surrounding it. Highly recommended for people whom would like to be at the most happening place.
