My stay at the Gala Hotel was wonderful. A group of foreign teachers from American and Canada met there to have a pre-Christmas get-together. There were nine of us who stayed at the Gala Hotel. The staff was very accommodating, cordial, friendly and helpful. The breakfast, which came in our room package, was excellent and a bit of home...hot, fresh, and many choices. I found my room to be extremely clean, welcoming and the bed was wonderfully soft by comparison. The bathroom was clean and quite modern. Though there was a bit of miscommunication as not everyone understood English, the reception when we first got the the hotel was very good. The hotel has nice rooms, although a bit small. The bathroom, especially the tub, was rather small, you cannot stretch out. But it was clean and we were able to manage. The only complaint my wife had was there was no vanity mirror with a chair where she can fix her hair and do make up. Nevertheless, it was still manageable. All in all, our stay was pleasant, we had a good stay at Gala and we would not hesitate to recommend it to friends and relations.

The hotel was excellent in terms of value for money. In particular, we liked the cleanliness of all areas and the friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff, from door man to the front desk. The only downside to the hotel was the carpet in our room which was quite badly marked and rather surprising given that the rest of the hotel was very well kept.

I was apprehensive when i booked but on arrival i found the room to be excellent at the price. very clean and neat.The hotel staff at check-in were very friendly and helpful. I left at very early hours of the morning and had my breakfast pre-packed and waiting at the checkout.. It was very considerate. I would recommend this hotel and would not hesisitate to stay there again

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Gala Hotel In Taipei. The hospitality of the staff was highly recommendable. My room was excellent, the breakfasts were of a very high standard. When I next visit Taipei I will definately book at the Gala Hotel again and will recommend it to all my friends.

The hotel room is clean and comfortable after a long walk of shopping . But the location of the hotel is not near to MRT station. We have to take bus abut 2 or 3 stop to MRT station.
