SITUATED BETWEEN 2 TRAIN STATIONS, 10 MINUTES WALK AWAY BUT SCENARY IS BEAUTIFUL SO DIDN'T MIND THE WALK! 1 STOP AWAY TO SHIHLIN NIGHT MARKET! THE TOILET IS VERY CLEAN & FOR THE PRICE I PAID FOR, ITS GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY!!! BUS TO AIRPORT IS 3 BLOCKS AWAY (OPP IMPERIAL HOTEL) SO ITS VERY CONVENIENT AND COST NT90 FOR 40 MINS TRAVEL!

Food and buses are at convenient. Buses can get you near any MRT system as to access the the MRT may take you a distance.

This hotel is totally beyond my expectation. It is such an excellent hotel. It is quiet and clean and the room is quite big. I enjoyed my stay there!

Hotel was quite pleasant. Noise level was very quiet and all questions were answered promptly. Breakfast was to be served from 7:00 until 10:00 but at 8:50, food was very sparse, coffee luke warm and not replenished. Suggest that the breakfast foods be rationed to be continuously provided until the end of the breakfast period. Putting it all out at once, allows early risers to ignore the fact that other guest may be wanting to eat as well!

Room air conditionng was very poor. Several nights I woke up sweating. Temperature control was minimal. Hotel lobby was cool, but not room. Next stay I will specify a cooler room.

The hotel is unpretentious yet very clean and well presented. An excellent value for money. Breakfast was mainly oriental but scrambled eggs and toast were available. Metro service nearby cleanly and efficiently connects you to the rest of the sprawling city. Be sure to have a map or directions in Taiwanese to help taxi drivers locate the hotel. The facilities are principally lobby and rooms. Go there to sleep; play elsewhere.

Close enought to MRT to make your travel easy. Don't have expectations for your breakfast. Overall good hotel to start exploring Taipei

The Empress Hotel was a very pleasant surprise in terms of value! We were on a long layover in Taipei and wanted to see the city and found very reasonable rates at the Empress Hotel. The room was very nice, much more than we were expecting. The included breakfast as more than adequate. All in all, I would definitely stay at the Empress again.

Quiet and clean every day. Breakfast was good if eaten around or before 9 AM. Staff always avaiable at front desk and their english was sufficient. Wake up call and taxi service was good. I was disappointed that i could only get 1 key.
