Rated #1 for all Nuwara Eliya hotels
We loved the spacious room and the food was very good. Service was also very good. We got a special room rate through this agency so it was one of our best hotel bargains in Sri Lanka. Of the 7 or 8 hotels we used this one ranked as one of the best, and definitely it was the one with the best value for the money spent....

We found that the hotel rates were too high for the standards they provide. The rooms need to be refurbished and the toilets are in a very bad state. There are other hotels in this area which provide better accommodation and facilities for this money. However the staff are very friendly and accomodated all our request, which made our stay more pleasant.

My husband who is a New Zealander was surprised that the ranking of this hotel was only 3 star. We think the fascilities and services and specially corporation of staff we enjoyed were great although we only spent 2 nights. We have travelled around the world a fair bit and the hotel truely is well within it's rights to boast of it's location, fascilities and staff as a 4 star! - we think . The day trips we took were overpriced and not worth the money, however it was my husbands first time to SL, so the day trip to Hortan planes and the visit to the Tea plantation were still memorable, A note from Jamie, my husband who happened to meet the Manager( on duty on the 7th /8th June) says he was highly taken up by the attitude and kind gesture.we can certainly reccommend St andrew's hotel to other travellers.
