The Camelot Beach Hotel is only a short drive from Colombo airport and therefore makes an ideal stopover on arrival/departure from Sri Lanka. Had we not been touring the island, we would have been happy to spend longer at the this hotel and make more use of the pool, etc.
Only one small problem...we had booked bed and breakfast, but they had only received notification of a room only booking....

Our room was a good size and attractively decorated, but the bathroom was poor - small, no plug in the sink (the whole rod mechanism had been removed and not replaced at all), and the shower was also very simple. The food in the restaurant was basic and some of it not cooked well. However, for the price it was not bad value. The entrance and position of the hotel was good and with a bit more work the rooms would be good too.
