Rated #2 for all Dambulla hotels
generous food portions. truly srilankan experience including your arrival and departure to the three drumming ladies. do not be fooled in going to the kandalama hotel on the other side of the lake. this hotel out stripes it. Excellent....

A terrible access road was an inauspicious start to our stay in Jan 06, however the hotel was friendly, the pool and grounds are beuatiful and the food was of a high standard. Rooms are quaint if a little tired, probably should be better for the $'s. The ayurveda menu is limited and the treatments a little ho hum. All made up for by the nice atmosphere and stunning setting. Do visit the cave temples in Dambulla - we were impressed. Note it can rain hard - even in the Jan dry season,
