we stayed at the trans asia hotel , colombo for one night at the start and end of our tour of sri lanka. the staff were very friendly and the pool was lovely with swim up pool bar and nice food. the evening all you can eat buffet was about 12 euro each so very good value with great choice .it is avery popular business hotel and the foyer is very well designed as a meeting area. I would return to this hotel again....

Typical european standards 5* hotel. Not the best one. Location is good, 5 minutes walk from World Trade Center. But in my view, I would recommend to choose Gale Face Hotel, it is a lot more popular, old colonial 4* hotel, and always booked up. But guess it is more fun.

Very nice hotel. We had a wonderful stay. The food in all the restaurants were great! And the service of the staff was outstanding! Very friendly and helpfull. The started with renovation in the hotel, the rooms will be renewd. It is a very relaxed hotel, we chose it because of the big swimmingpool. We have been in the Cinnamon Grand Hotel, which is also absolutely fabulous but we thought as that the Trans Asia is more personal, more cosy because it is not such as big hotel. We had a wonderful stay, we can recommend this hotel to anyone who loves Thai food, Sea food, Indian an Chinese. (you can chose everything you like they make it! fresher dan fresh) For sunshine relaxing at the swimmingpool and who like to do some excersise in the fitness you will find all you need in Trans Asia.
