Rated #5 for all Colombo hotels
We only spent a short break there but will certainly be returning there when we visit again. Mount Lavinia is so close to Colombo and its private beech and views means that there is no reaon to travel further a field to get to the Ocean. Room views were spectacular too. Mr. Robert Warren The service was brilliant and all the staff were extremely courteous and hospitable....

Rooms are clean and the food is very tasty. Staff was very helpful.
Needs to pay little more attention to regular maintenance of balcony railings and air-conditioning units- installed in the room.

Found it in need of general refurbishment in the bay wing - not sure about other room wings. Good buffets and views over the ocean. The staff were quite rude when we were leaving after checking out - not sure what the problem as no one explained why we could not leave and it took some 15 minutes for the taxi to be able to depart.Would not recommend
