Most people who arrive in Torremolinos fly into Malaga Airport, which is only a 10-minute-drive from Torremolinos. The airport sees flights arriving from other Spanish destinations as well as charter and budget flights from across Europe.

Malaga Airport is a two-terminal facility which serves as a regional hub. It is well equipped with ATMs, banks and bureaux de change facilities. The main shopping area can be found in Terminal 1 while restaurants can be found throughout the airport, and there is a post office and medical facilities in both terminals.

From Malaga Airport, the best way to reach Torremolinos is by train (30 minutes). The train will take you directly to Malaga and onto Torremolinos, with no change necessary. Buses are also available but are not as convenient as the train. Additionally, hire cars can be picked up at the airport for the easy drive to Torremolinos.

If you arrive at Malaga Airport and want to make onward connections to Torremolinos, there are trains and buses offering service from the airport and Malaga town. The services are regular and reliable, and the short journey is comfortable.

Once in Torremolinos, the best way to experience the city is to walk around. Sights are located close together and the beach, restaurant and shopping areas are all within easy walking distances of each other.

However, if you want to travel farther afield, it is a good idea to hire a car. The Costa del Sol region offers much to see and with a hire car you can enjoy the region at your leisure.
