The most common local dish here is known as pescaito frito, fried fish which is usually served with salad. Paella is also popular, as are a number of local soups. All local dishes are made with olive oil, tomatoes, garlic and vinegar, and of course many of them are centred on seafood. To round off your meal, be sure to try the local dessert tortas de aceite de Torremolinos.

There are a number of high street shops and department stores along the street and you may be able to find that perfect outfit for any occasion.

If you did not come away to shop in high street stores, you will find a local market every Thursday in the centre of the city which is home to a number of local food stalls, arts and craft stalls, and general bits and bobs. Every Sunday, you will find a flea market which is perfect for grabbing yourself a bargain or two.
