Few places manage to combine a rich historical legacy with superb comfort, fine food and dazzling modern décor, but the marvellous 17th-century Casa del Abad Ampudia pulls off this difficult feat with style. The renovation has been undertaken in such a way as to leave intact many of the houses original details, including wooden beams and wrought iron balconies.
