Rated #5 for all Madrid hotels
The hotel experience was fantastic! Superb breakfast! State-of-the-art all-marble bathroom and fabulous room with a flat screen TV, but who has time to watch when you're in the best location, with so many places to walk to? The service was great. I would return to this hotel and enthusiastically recommend it to anyone visiting Madrid. ...

Excellent hotel in a great location, very close to Prado and Thyssen museums; within a walking distance to Plaza Mayor. Rooms are of good size with Bang & Olufsen appliances. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely recommend this hotel to others.

First room allocated was an excellent sized room but the only window looked on to a brick wall. My wife could not cope with this lack of light due to a serious medical eye problem so we tried to move without success. We tried again in the evening and were then moved to a room with two windows allowing sufficient light. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Madrid. The hotel location was excellent allowing us to walk to a number of the Tourist attractions. Hotel staff were very friendly, choice of breakfast was more than adequate, and overall we had an excellent few days in Madrid.

This hotel is probably in the best location of Madrid. It's situated in a beautiful circle that has a large and beautiful fountain in the middle. Ritz is one other hotel that's also in this circle. Another tenant is the Thyssen-Bornemisza museum, one of the city's best and rated as a must see. Walking distance to the historical "old Madrid" district, and to Museo Del Prado and the modern art Reina-Sofia museum. You will be delighted at the location. The staff are vey professional and helpful. Our room was very modern with Bang Olufsen TV and the marble bathroom was first class. The only aspect that we did not like was that there was an odor in the room that seemed to come from the bathroom area! Although we should have, but we did not mention this to the hotel. No opinion on whether other rooms might have the same odor. The price was incredibly cheap according to European standards making this wonderful hotel a great bargain.

The staff were excellent, very very helpful. Do be careful of thieves--as one guest was putting his bags into a taxi, someone came up from the street and grabbed his computer case--the doorman was watching and got it back, but obviously care is needed. Rooms are rather small, but well-kept and newly renovated. GREAT location! I loved this hotel.
