English

Ibiza, or Eivissa as it is known in Catalan, is the third largest of the Balearic Islands after Majorca and Menorca. It's a major summer holiday destination drawing Europeans in droves with its soft sandy beaches, clear ocean waters, well-developed visitor infrastructure and vibrant evening entertainment scene.
The sea is warm enough for water-based activities from May through late September so visitors can take advantage of a variety of pursuits on offer including sailing, windsurfing, waterskiing, jet-skiing and parasailing. Many of the popular beaches also offer banana boat rides and have pedaloes for hire.
Epiphany (El Día de los Reyes): El Día de los Reyes or the ‘Day of the Kings’ is a Catholic festival that remembers the arrival of the Maji to pay homage to the infant Christ. Falling on the 6th of the month, this is a public holiday across Spain and many businesses on Ibiza close for the day.
Much of Ibiza has been commercialised; however, away from the major resorts it is still possible to find a taste of its original character. Santa Gertrudis is one such destination where the life and traditions of the locals have escaped tourist influence, and should you take a trip here you’ll find authentic Ibizan craftsmen at work in the shops and small art galleries, and smattering of charming, little bars and restaurants.
Buses are the main form of transportation on the island and provide frequent and reliable connections between the larger towns as well as some services to the smaller, more remote towns and villages. Buses are easily spotted by their orange colour and all services use either of the two terminuses located in Ibiza Town.
Ibiza is not considered a dangerous destination and the majority of tourists enjoy holidays here without experiencing anything untoward. There are petty criminals around, however, so do keep a close eye on your cash and valuable items in busy public places, and don't leave anything of worth on balconies if your hotel room is on the ground floor as it's not uncommon for opportunist thieves to steal clothes and other personal items.

This month's lucky winner is Mr. Laith Addabbas who lives in Jordan.
