The capital of the Mexican state of Jalisco, Guadalajara was once described by FDi magazine as the ‘city of the future’, and ranked as the second strongest economic potential of any major North American city behind Chicago. It was also rated among the top five most business-friendly Latin American cities in 2007, and for its major electronics industry is nicknamed as Mexico’s Silicon Valley.
