Located southwest of Madrid, Caceres is 100 kilometres east of Portugal. Caceres is a town missed by time, having excellently preserved architecture with towers and battlements running throughout the city. A medium-sized city, it has retained much of its Old World charm, despite its more modern parts. Many filmmakers come here to make movies because its old town areas have remained unspoiled.
