This is reputed to be the oldest hotel in Barcelona (1840), completely renovated it is located in the historical building of the former Convent of Saint Augustine (1720). It is in a quiet location and has pleasant, rooms that are small but perfectly suited to a city stay and offers its rooms out at highly competetive rates.

Rated #83 for all Barcelona hotels
The location of the hotel was excellent. There is a fab cocktail bar next door and the staff were helpful with details of trips to Montserrat, the tour bus and restaurants. The buffet breakfast was good. All together good value for money, would stay there again....

The location of this hotel is excellent, and I would stay there again for that fact alone. it is just off Las Ramblas and within walking distance to the port, Barra Gotica, shopping areas etc. Good value for money considering how central the location is. Rooms were pretty basic, but were clean, and had tv etc. You wont spend much time there anyway as there is so much to see and do in Barcelona. Free internet at reception also

Only stopped the one night. The rooms are basic but were spacious and clean. I stopped there with a party of 8 (4 rooms) and we were all impressed with the size of rooms, cleanliness and how quiet it was considering it's closeness to the Ramblas. I will definitely choose this hotel again if I return to Barcelona.Friendly and helpful staff. Short walk from Ramblas and Metro station. Usual 'Continental' buffet breakfast. Nice bar next door in pleasant square. Metro approx 5 minutes away in the Ramblas. Reception were able to get a taxi outside extremely quickly.
No garden but public square outside and adequate lounge space inside hotel.

The location was brilliant, the hotel was very clean and the staff very helpful as breakfast when full was a little bit of a bum fight. I would definitely stay again however the walls are very thin and in need of sound proofing and as all the floors are wooden you hear the upstairs guests as well as neighbours so if i was to recommend to a friend or re stay i would ask for a room on the top floor.

Rooms basic and clean. Biggest fault is male receptionist - Very unhelpful and rude could do with a personality transplant. Get rid of him and it would improve ratings. Basics room included as well as wall to wall tiled floors. very rude male receptionist. Breakfast awful. close to La Rambla.
