Catalonia Duques De Bergara Hotel is a modernist building that has a refined historic, aristocratic atmosphere. Built in 1898 by the famous architect Emilio Salas y Cortés (a professor of Gaudí) it is a splendid place. The entry hall has a spectacular marble staircase leading to the first floor where you will find impressive mahogany doors from Cuba and a moulded ceiling and dome from a bygone era. Wrought iron handrails, original paintings and other delights can also be found within it's walls. A swimming pool and other in-house facilties found here are much appreciated by both business and leisure travellers.
