Rated #15 for all Seoul hotels

The room was spacious and clean with plenty of closet space. There is a nice roomy shower with glass shower doors (rather than those awful plastic shower curtains) but no bathtub. We loved having the washing machine/dryer in the room. It is an all-in-one unit that I wish were available in the U.S. - a real space saver! There is a 7-Eleven convenience store and a Japanese style restaurant on the ground level of the building and an Outback Steakhouse on the first level. There is also a larger grocery store available a block away (ask the front desk for directions since it is a bit hard to descri...

Will stay again in my next visit to Seoul. Impressive roon, excellent location. Staff is helpful but need more trining in English. Also I was not allow to check in until 3 pm, which wasted my morning while I waited for a room (not for early arrivals in Seoul).

There is a 7-Eleven convenience store and a Japanese style restaurant on the ground level of the building and an Outback Steakhouse on the first level. There is also a larger grocery store available a block away (ask the front desk for directions since it is a bit hard to describe even though the route is easy to walk). I believe it is also possible to book a room here that doesn't have the kitchenette - in which case I think they provide a buffet breakfast but we were so pleased with the kitchenette that we didn't investigate other opportunities. The kitchen has a good-sized refrigerator and freezer, a small dishwasher, a two-burner gas stove and a toaster/microwave oven (another space-saving combination appliance I wish was available in the U.S.). There isn't any oven however which may limit some meal choices. I would *definitely* recommend this place. The room was large, had a lot of closet and shelving space, had a nice TV with a DVD player and surround sound speakers, had a nice bath with a roomy shower, and had a great kitchenette with washing machine and dryer. I think this used to be a full-time residential building that has been converted to a hotel. While the hotel room was *excellent* and the staff was very friendly, helpful and English-speaking - there are no amenities such as a pool, exercise room, business center, room service, etc - at least not that we were aware of. There isn't a pool, business center or exercise room but you can go up on the rooftop patio. It certainly is in a safe location since it is a cross the street from the main police station (a 15+ story building). The airport bus also drops off (across the street) and picks up from (directly in front) of this building. A metro station entrance is about 2 blocks away. You can walk to one of the main tourist attractions (a palace/temple complex) in less than 10 minutes. There is a grocery store a block away and a 7-Eleven convenience store in the building. The kitchenette with its washing machine/dryer is a terrific feature not available at most hotels.

The staff are English speaking and friendly. The hotel is only a few minutes' walk to the subway station.
