This residence is a fantastic place for any type of trip. The sheer luxury of the surroundings are ideal for a relaxing overnight stay, or welcoming for longer breaks. The staff are especially professional and efficient. I have stayed at the Somersrt several times now, and have never been disappointed....

The room was excellent though it took a long time to book via the website. the swimming pool is outdoor (so no use in the winter) but fantastic views from the roof garden. Breakfasts catered for European as well as Asian tastes. No restaurant as part of the hotel but Japanese restaurant and convenience store & sandwich bar on site. Excellent location for the 2 main palaces in Seoul and close to Buddhist Museum. Reasonable walk to city centre. Catch the airport bus to Anguk station if you don't have too many bags, it's the cheapest way to and from the airport and easily signposted. All in all a great base for a few days in Seoul.

No bell boy service was available during check-in. We had to carry our own luggage up to the room! Most ameneties are available and at reasonable condition. Kitchen utensils were not well cleaned, and lack certain toiletries (tooth brush, shaver, etc). Near subway station, business district, restaurants, and excellent security (near police station).
