Stayed at the Suites Hotel, Jeju for two nights in October 09. The hotel is located between Shilla hotel and Lotte hotel in the middle of the Jangmun Resort Complex. There is a nice beach a short stroll away. Also you can easily walk to other attractions such as the Teddy bear museum, botanical gardens, sea park etc. The airport express bus will drop you at the hotel door for a cheap price. Only problem with the hotel is the location for restaurants. There is a limited choice for non hotel restaurants, I only found 2 that are within walking distance. Stayed at the Suites Hotel, Jeju for two nights in October 09. The hotel is located between Shilla hotel and Lotte hotel in the middle of the Jangmun Resort Complex. There is a nice beach a short stroll away. Also you can easily walk to other attractions such as the Teddy bear museum, botanical gardens, sea park etc. The airport express bus will drop you at the hotel door for a cheap price. Only problem with the hotel is the location for restaurants. There is a limited choice for non hotel restaurants, I only found 2 that are within walking distance. For a bigger choice you will need to take a taxi to downtown Seogwipo which will cost between 10 - 15 thousan won and take around 20 minutes. The rooms are average hotel size but well appointed and very modern. We stayed in a standard room and the bathroom was large for a hotel. We were on the second floor and from the balcony in our room we could see the mountain and the sea whilst overlooking the Lotte Hotel. I think this is an excellent hotel for the price and location and you have the added benefits of getting discounts to use the services such as sauna and gym at the Shilla Hotel next door. The decor is very modern and new and it has cosy feel home feel to it, probably from the hotel design which kind of looks like a manor house or country club.

The hotel facilities were limited to the room, dining, and internet although there was a pool it wasn't open for use. I left one day earlier than planned but the hotel did not offer a refund of the money, nor were they willing to take my food charges out of that amount. I probably would not return even though I do plan to return to Jeju.

We loved the Suites hotel! We stayed two nights after having an awful stay at the Travellers down the road (don't stay there!) and felt like we were in heaven. Perhaps it was just the comparison ... But the staff was extremely friendly and extremely helpful, the hotel was walking distance to the beach, the convenience store downstairs had everything we needed, we never got charged for using the internet, and the breakfast was delicious. Its a small hotel, only 90 rooms, which made it feel more like home while we stayed there. We went to some of the nicer hotels nearby (Shilla, Lotte, Hyatt) to go to bars, but really enjoyed coming home to the Suites. I would definitely stay there again, and definitely recommend it to others. Esp young travelers who cannot afford the more expensive places but want to have the resort experience.
