"Since I was looking for a hotel near a conference, the Jeju Oriental Hotel was ideally located and attractively-priced. There are trade-offs though. Some amenities you expect to be provided (e.g., shampoo) are not. (Hand soap is provided though.) You have the option of buying these from the hotel (they're placed on a rack above the mini-bar) or purchasing them from a supermarket within walking distance of the hotel. Luckily, since I always bring my own toiletries, I didn't have to purchase any, but this might bother some travellers.
Also, I did not get to use the facilities much since I mostly used the place for sleeping (the conference I attended had meals included). I did notice that when I stayed there (August 2005), there were lots of local tourists staying there and the breakfast place can be pretty crowded. However, there were several eating establishments very near the hotel so there are options.
The hotel information did also say they had a shuttle service to the airport,"
