Rated #4 for all Gyeongju hotels
This hotel was indeed very pleasant. It must have been off-season, though,(early June in Korea) as swimming pool closed and several of its restaurants not operating. the Sunday morning breakfast buffet was disappointing as all the food was cold, inckuding eggs, pancakes, etc. well before the 'end' of hte serving time, and for the price, expected better preparation....

Staffs are very friendly and helpful. However, the location is very far from center and entertainment. Anyhow, it's best for family or someone want to escape from city and have a quiet, close to nature day off.

Unsan Pyolshin Festival (February to March) is held near Puyo. The festival is a series of religious rituals, originally staged every three years but now an annual event, held in memory of the soldiers who died attempting to save the Paekche Kingdom, which fell in 660AD. Shamanic rites are performed to bless the soldiers' souls and the priestesses, known as mudang, go into trances and appear to take on the voice and manners of the deceased in ceremonies known as kut.
A day for sweethearts to express their feeling toward one another with cards, chocolate, flowers, gifts or a simple “I love you”.
Jindo Yeongdeung Festival: also known as "Moses' Miracle in Korea", this festival in Jindo-gun retells the heart-warming tale of an old woman whose prayer to part the water in a desperate bid to flee from a tiger-ridden island was answered. The festival features Yeongdeungsal Nori (a ritual dedicated to Grandmother Bbong), shamanic rites to exorcise evil spirits, the re-enactment of the evacuation of villagers, musical performances and prayers for Grandmother Bbong.
