To be honest I believe that under normal circumstances, this hotel may be a good option for short stays close to the J/burg airport; however, in our case it did not work so well because they are currently remodeling the hotel and there is a lot of work going on during the day so the level of noise is quite disrupting. Due to the same work the pool is out of service, so our expectation to spend a quiet, relaxing day in the hotel after a very long night flight was not met. If I had known about this, I would have chosen a different hotel. To their credit, the staff were very friendly and tried to assist within their posibilities.
The room itself is ok, but due to the construction going on, there was a lot of noise. Very difficult to relax. Again, the construction work has impose some restrictiions, like having the pool out of service. The breakfast buffet is very good, variaty and good quality; however, there is no room service or restaurant service at night, so you can only ask of delivery and options are limited.
We were expecting to be able to use the pool, but it was out of service, there was no other recreational faciility available for children and even the TV signal went off for about an hour or so...not fun!
That was one of the reasons for choosing this hotel, as we needed to be close to the airport. The shuttle from and to the hotel works fine.
