The hotel was fairly cheap and they agreed to accommodate us for half the Easter weekend, which no other hotel would do. The staff were very friendly and very helpful, but the hotel definitely wasn't on a par with other four star hotels I've stayed in before. We only discovered on arrival that it was a halaal hotel and the food in the buffet restaraunt didn't really cater for europeans. We chose to eat in the a la carte restaraunt on the second floor one evening only to be told it was also a buffet menu, only smaller than the one in the ground floor restaraunt.
We never had milk left in our room to make tea or coffee and had to constantly phone room service for milk.
We had a room on the second floor overlooking the parking lot. The windows aren't insulated against sound and the noise from people in the parking lot was outdone only by the central aircon system that was outside the other window opposite our bedroom door. The constant humming noise made me feel like I was in an aeroplane all night. It was reallly annoying.
No secure parking was also a problem, hence the vandalism to our car.
The hotel is central and affordable, but I won't rush back.
