The holiday were great. Especially we liked that pecocks joined us for breakfast. We could feed them. Monkeys were coming to our room`s balcony. We gave them some bananas. They were really cute. The locaion is very nice. You can wallk on the beach to the station or take a free tram. There is also a bus to a huge shopping mall Vivo on the main island every 20 min. The beach and the pool were great. And there a lot of fun for kids. ...

I was expecting a much bigger room and a real luxury sea view which was what we had reserved. One of the extra beds for my son was really hard and impossible to sleep in.The staff arranged a better mattress so that solved the problem . we really enjoyed the way the staff was ready to help. The hotel is really well located and has a great swimming pool and surrounding area. Too bad the beach is nots as clean as it could be. We loved the fact that we were at the beach but we could be in Singapore in 5 minutes.

Great location if you just want to chill out and relax. A bit far away from all the other Singapore attractions. Need to get taxi due to location. It is a family resort and with such a large pool area you have toexpect some noise. Range of facilities and activities to keep the kids amused.

You should go for a sea view room. The mountain view is actually no view at all since you are almost in the mountain!

I stayed with my husband and two daughter for 4 nightd. It was really worth of it. Firstly we booked a sea wiew room, although it was really a good room, they advise us to upgrade a suit with only 60 singapore dolars extra. I advise you to book a normal room and to upgrade it in the hotel because they give very good prices. Our suite was perfect. Even 10 persons can stay in. Before I went there I read many reviews in htel travel, but I don t agree any of them. Firstly it was written that sea is dirty, it was really good. secondly there is not any pollution or noisy. It was really a quite place compared with Raffles plaza hotel which we stayed 2 nights afterwards. The most important part for me is you can easily access the shopping centers with complimentary shuttle bus every 20 minutes. Shortly if you like shopping but you will go with your family, husband and kids can enjoy the hotel and you can do your shopping. Perfect place and hospitality.

Nice location, room ok. Not much going on in the evening - nothing organised, poor live music (very amateurish) and no atmosphere in the bars/restaurant. A family hotel definitely not for singles.

Excellent location beatiful view of the hotlel but the room with hill view is not rcommended unless the hotel is full other wise.I asked for the twin double bed but it was one double bed and one sofa cum bed which was an inconvienence.Should increase the staff at the reception to facilitate check in and check out quickly.Spa is excellent pools are excellent with a lovely views and calm location.

The hotel room was in need of deorating though clean and tidy. The staff were excellent in all aspects. The hotel area is remote, therefore, you have little option to buy drinks, ice creams etc.. at the hotel, which can work out expensive if you have kids. Although the hotel is on the beach, the beach is not considered safe for swimming due to the strong tides, our taxi driver warned us against allowing the kids to go in the sea as he was aware of several accidents, there were no life guards on the beach. For a relaxing stop over for up to a ciouple of nights the hotel is just the ticket, however, if you want some night life or are staying more than a couple of nights I would recommend a more central hotel.

The landscaping is what I like, also the cleanliness. However, check-in and check-out services are the ones that made me not so happy about. Room was not ready by 3 p.m. and there were miscommunication on my hotel booking - maybe also due to hoteltravel failure to inform them.

The seaview room I had booked was shabby and tired. The floor under the bed had not been vacuumed for a long time…there were large pieces of snackfood and a sock under the bed, as well as multiple dustbunnies. I couldn’t turn off the air conditioner, and the noise was frightful. The kingsized bed was very comfortable, and the bedding luxurious. The chairs on the balcony ought to have been better quality for a hotel of this supposed calibre. Toiletries were lovely, and replaced regularly. I ordered room service one evening and was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the meal and speed of service….as well, the price was reasonable. The Sentosa location could be problematic for guests who are bent on Singapore sightseeing. However the hotel is directly beside Underwater World, and there is good transportation around the island as well as a reliable hotel shuttle to the Harbourfront Centre for shopping and the MRT. A real problem was the constant music blaring from the pool area; certainly not conducive to a relaxing lounge on one’s seaview balcony (or anywhere in the vicinity of the pool). Another small quibble was the readiness of the rooms….After a 30 hour journey from North America, it would have been nice to have been able to check in upon arrival (I didn’t arrive until 1pm), and not have to wait until 3pm. “Go explore the grounds” I was told….rather difficult when I’m asleep on my feet.

Hotel was not bad since it is near the beach. The facilities are just ok for a 4-star hotel, the seaview was really nice! people were nice there, and never impatient althogh very busy. free buses travelling the island is just outside the hotel. the garden is for the customers on the ground floor, but there are quite a lot flowers everywhere.

This is not a cheap hotel, but worth every cent you pay for accommodation. The staff are really friendy and professional. I am a single female travelling on my own and the staff really made me feel at home. I have also stayed there with my friends and we had a fantastic time. The pool area and bar during the day can be recommended. Sentosa is removed from the noise and bustle of the city. It is fantastic and very relaxing. Loved the peacocks walking around freely.

Lovely location except the beach and sea were not very clean. Good rooms - our room on the corner was large and spacious, well worth the slight extra money. Good pools, wide range of facilities and mostly very pleasant and helpful staff. The only disappointment was the main restaurant, "Silver Shell" which was the only restaurant open apart from evenings. The food was okay but the service was poor. At breakfast, it seemed they could not cope with the hotel being full and, in the afternoon and evening, even when they were not busy, the service was slow and inattentive.

Swimming pool needs renovation (tiles are falling off). Changing rooms at the Pool also where dirty and worn out, one washing basin had now sewage pipe, when washing your hands water drips on your feet. Breakfast Buffet: The bacon is awful, they use processed bacon, and it doesn’t taste like bacon. more like rubber. For a five star hotel not up to standard. Waterslides for children are excellent. We will come back next year and hope they have changed for the better!

Probably the most inefficient Shangri La that I ever stay at, yes its "resort" like, staff are pleasant, could do with better uniforms, but check in and out has always been terrible, food is average at best. The breakfast layout makes it more like a zoo at feeding time. Watched one customer handling food and putting it back until he found a hot one. The birds which invade the tables are not acceptable, but crap and get on the tables eating your food when you return to the buffet. Its the only hotel of its type ..beach, sentosa attractions and nice pool in Sing, but rooms generally tired.

Like the fact that it is right in front of beach. only hotel in front of beach in sentosa. Facilities looked like they needed an overhaul. Hated the fact that the morning breakfast was so crowded with only the one restaurant and found that the food and service did not match what we are used to from a shangri-la hotel. very dissapointing.
