I was really surprised at how nice the Royal Plaza was. I wasn't expecting much because it was F1 race weekend and getting a hotel was very difficult, so when the 3rd option was the Royal Plaza (I'd never heard of it before) i was a bit skeptical. But everything was great!

Our 2 night stay was a flight break from London back to Australia. We could not fault the hotel. The room, service, location and general ambience of the Hotel was excellant. We felt that Royal Plaza on Scotts was a peaceful oasis while out side we found all the shops, restaurants and transport we could desire. Very good hotel in a great location, we would definitely stay there again.

It is a regular hotel I use for my trips to S'pore. It is good valuefor the money paid and I find it is ideally located, especially very close to the book store - BORDERS. Even being in the centre of the lively city of S'pore, you are not disturbed by any noise. The staff is very very cheerful and friendly.

The only dissapointing thing about the hotel was the car park. You park in the multi storey behind the hotel and then get a lift to ground floor. Then walk across the service road to a door and down a flight of steps to the lobby. Very difficult with suitcases and bags.

The Hotel was nice, very clean and it smelled really good. I booked a de luxe room but was upgraded to a premiere room. My original reservation only included American breakfast for 2 but but my family of 3 enjoyed buffet breakfast during our stay without additional cost. The hotel was beisde several malls so shopping was not a problem. Taxi was readily accessible & the MRT was just a short walk away. Royal Plaza was worth every cent I paid. Very clean, soft bed..very comfortable. Staff was very friendly & easy to talk to. They can speak English well. Near shopping malls. MRT is just a walk away. Taxi is readily available.
Buffet breakfast had several options. Food options were generally ok. They offered variety to suit customers' taste. very slean. Room is made up very quick. Everything was replenished.

All the staff were very professional and courtieus. Nice clean hotel with no problems at all. The doorman with the Hat was very helpfull unloading and tagging our luggage and providing us help gettiing to varoius desinations, as were his counterparts. Beautifull lobby !

Best with this hotel is the location. Very central, very close to a underground station. Very central, very close to shopping centers and public transport
Liked least: the close proximity of a function room to the swimming pool.
Personnel and guests of the function room have to pass the swimming pool area, rather disturbing.

the bedrooms are small however very comfortable with wonderful fine cotton sheets and well equiped including an iron and ironing board. the staff are so friendly and helpful and we felt that Royall Plaza on Scott's was one of the nicest hotels in many ways, we have stayed in. The breakfast was excellent with many varied choices. Very close to the underground system and central for shopping.

Excellent new look! Staff is very helpful. Good facilities especially the internet you can use at their business center. Their breakfast at carousel restaurant is nice. I overheard a receptionist refer to my room as a BASIC room - yet according to the website, all rooms are DELUXE. There were certainly better rooms which I observed as I walked past! The room was not too bad but had musty smell - I don't think fresh air had touched it in a long time! The bathroom was below standard and again smelt as if it had been cleaned with a dirty rag.
Apart from that I must give credit to the wonderful staff - friendly and efficient. Situation was excellent, as was the food. If there are different rooms with different rates - I would prefer to be given the choice. All in all I would rate the hotel a low 4 star.
